    This is definitely a concern for us as well. We have a single maintenance window for servers each month. When the client upgrade runs it can potentially impact our patching deployments. We need a way to ensure that the client upgrade does not impact our patching deployments.

    This is very much needed in non-persistent environments (Linked clones, write filters, streamed VMs, etc). Currently you either have to disable the agents locally via a baseline which is fighting a losing battle or get creative with your limiting collections and RBAC to limit the devices that can be deployed to.

    In our VDI environment, we use shared flash based storage. This means whenever software is pushed to a large number of VMs at once, there is a potential for disk I/O impact because of de-duplication on the fly from the shared storage solution.

    Because of this scenario, we are stuck using packages in our environment because we cannot use Application model on our VDI environment.

    Great idea. Just being able to paste in a long list of device names would be fantastic, must better than the comma separated option now.
