We're trying to do this in the Recast Right Click Tools, but would rather see it all in the console.

For bonus points, have the view clearly show which policy set which settings page.

Spit-balling some interesting workarounds with the Update-CMDistributionPoint cmdlet for scheduling during off hours the update of content referenced by task sequences.

    Update-CMDistributionPoint -ApplicationName <String> -DeploymentTypeName <String>

Maybe another approach would be to not care about the version of the content at all. Regardless of approach, there should be a clear entry in the logs that content was used that isn't the same version as what was seen when validating content at the beginning of the task sequence. I'd put this in appenforce.log so that it is actually seen where the content is being used.

There are many examples of the overview reports like this (Ask Garth for one).

For the detail report, there is one in the Vulnerability Assessment Overall report that is an ok start, but look at what Kevin did to it here: https://ccmcache.wordpress.com/2016/05/04/sql-query-ssrs-report-for-missing-software-updates-from-the-vulnerability-assessment-report-in-kb3153628/

Remember, the goal of this is to present data that does not perpetuate the "only security and critical updates" misguided disaster patch strategies.

Hi. I’m setting the status back to Noted – this was mixed up with the item “Add support for TFTP Window Size” – that has been Started and is available in the 1603 tech preview build.

    Thanks,
BobMN on behalf of SangeeV for SCCM OS Deployment

PXE reliability and performance has been a considerable hurdle for almost every organization that has tried it. On most ConfigMgr engagement I've worked on, regardless of network hardware vendor or age, PXE unfortunately has been something that requires several meetings to get it to kinda sorta mostly work in most places. Anything we can do to get off the TFTP protocol from 1981 will go a long way to making this actually work well in enterprises without so much pain and suffering.

This can be done today w/ #SCCM 1802 (and previous versions too). I will mark started… and watch comments for why this doesn’t just work… before I mark this straight up completed…

    Steps:
    1) On the CAS (or standalone primary), go to Administration → Hierarchy Configuration → Discovery methods
    2) right click on Active Directory System Discovery and bring up the Properties form. Active Directory Attributes tab, and then click on Custom. In the form that appears, type the name of the attribute. Click OK, and make sure you have added it as an attribute to discover. Run discovery after exiting properties form.
    3) Now when you go to the Devices view and right click on a device and go to its Properties form, you will see the new attribute showing up there.

@djam - It looks like Description is a member of the global catalog going back to the 2000 schema, so hopefully this isn't hard to do:
    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/ms675492(v=vs.85).aspx

Since eventually someone is going to want to build collection queries with this data, it would be great if it ended up in the DB instead of just being displayed.

Updating this item as there’s support for Windows 10 In-place upgrade using the Cloud Management Gateway – see https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sccm/core/plan-design/changes/whats-new-in-version-1802
Adding this in case some folks missed it or Win 10 In-place upgrade addresses their requirement.

I recognize this it not full OS Deployment as there’s no WinPE phase (WinPE has no wireless stack)
