If we own it, we should manage it. Regardless of whethor or not it is currently in DNS. If there are 10k computer objects in AD, it should discover 10k computer objects! This trips up admins all the time and makes them THINK they are managing all their devices, but actually they are not... When you use ConfigMgr for security updates and antimalware, this is a pretty big deal.

Another anti-malware policy item could include 'force offline scan upon detection' with options for different malware severity levels. Respect ConfigMgr reboot countdown client settings with this.

Another way to approach this would be to provide UI for configuration items that handle AppLocker white-lists and Device Guard white lists, as well as enabling/disabling the features overall.

Had this come up with as a paint point with 3 customers this week already, and it's only Wednesday. Not displaying the Last Logon Timestamp only makes it harder for people to handle client push.

Well, that is the first time I've triggered the uservoice profanity filter. :-)

I'm really hoping we see this in an early 2017 Tech Preview.

Now that we've got Online Status icons in the console, this is one of those "really? are you kidding?" things that every customer runs into.

Drivers on future machines (OSD) and existing machines need to be managed for all hardware manufacturers. Whatever you build, it should be with the intent of Microsoft, Dell, HP, Lenovo all using it.

Marius - Can you share more details? Are you asking for an easier way to trigger an inventory scan (like we have now with client notifications) or with viewing the data (like through resource explorer and reporting)?

CI's should be able to consume the Group Policy templates :-)

And in the mean time can the friendly names that the GUIDS correspond to get published/documented?

As a workaround, I often include a WMIC command line at the end of the installation to trigger a software update scan, but this misses things that don't show as required until after the reboot.

Michael Murgolo recently blogged his own wrapper for serviceui.exe to make it easier to use, which I think proves the point. Let's get this functionality natively so it doesn't require MDT and wrapper scripts for a typically organization to use.

    https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/deploymentguys/2015/07/06/script-to-make-serviceui-exe-easier-to-use-for-osd-custom-user-interfaces/

Maybe the Run Command Line step could have a "Allow interaction" check box?

Had another conversation with a customer last week who thought updates had not been installed because this date didn't get updated.

Saw this during 2 different customer conversations last week - adding the columns equated to light bulbs going off right away for ConfigMgr admins. They need to be there by default.

The only others I found were #, /, and \

Not sure I care about having them available, but I don't know why they would be specifically prohibited.

I take it back... I want one like Compliance 2 - Specific software updates, not like Compliance 5. Compliance 2 just lets you use a %something% and return all results that are like it.
