Hi. I’m setting the status back to Noted – this was mixed up with the item “Add support for TFTP Window Size” – that has been Started and is available in the 1603 tech preview build.
Thanks,

I realise this is an old request but I'd like to add another voice to this. It would be an incredibly useful feature to have natively in SCCM.
While the other comments are right that iPXE does this, it shouldn't really be neccessary to use third party software, and it requires extra steps when you update your boot image that could be eliminated natively.
Any chance this might actually get done?
Do you really mean SCCM 2012 R2? Or are you using Current Branch? If you're on Current Branch, get yourself up to at least 1806, preferably 1810, and use the new High Availability feature to set up the new server as a Passive Primary Site Server, make sure you've moved everything away from the old one and make the new VM the Active Primary Site Server. You should the be able to decomission the old one. I'm planning a similar move myself to move my Primary Site Server from one physical location to another.
