This is an issue in our environment. We have client push enabled and have not found a way to exclude the discovery of non-persistent VMs. These VMs need to be in an AD group to get certain GPP policies so they are being discovered by the group discovery.

    Thanks for responding.

We cannot provide a different migration options for the reasons I outlined below. Anything other than ‘Applications, Data and Settings’ will leave the machine unmanaged – while we developed the new upgrade step we tested them all.

I’ll see if I can source steps for reinstalling the Store without having to complete a restore.

Were you able to find steps to re-provision and re-install the store?

The Store and other built-in apps were uninstalled during the rollout of W10. Management at the time wanted no store presence. The method we found at the time came from this site: http://www.scconfigmgr.com/2016/03/01/remove-built-in-apps-when-creating-a-windows-10-reference-image/

Now we are running into issues where we need the store to install certain things (Windows Photo Viewer, Feedback Hub...etc). In order to get the store back we need to do an in-place upgrade with either the data only or data and settings switch.

The settings that you listed below would be what I am looking for, I would likely use the Data only or the Data and Settings option depending on testing.

Updated to Noted. We’ve been discussing the same in our planning meetings.

    Thanks,
