Our 1905 Technical Preview is now released.
This release has the first round of changes in the App model to allow a Task sequence as a deployment type allowing task sequences to be deployed to users/user groups.
Not everything that is deployed fits application model.

This makes sense to me. Surprised no more support than this..
Really should have the ability for a custom icon. In SCCM CB, Software Center displays tiles which can be bigger than normal application icons. So really need the ability to specify two icons. One for Software Center, and one for the shortcut that gets installed.

The first iteration/slice of this is available in the 1905 Tech Preview.
Since upgrading to 1710, we have been adding new icons since the size was expanded to 500 x 500. Perhaps they should be called tiles now. All the programs with default icons are so tiny and ugly. There are applications, utilities, and scripts that don't fit into Application Model. Task Sequences too. Please add the ability to have custom icons, tiles, or whatever you want to call them to the product. Or at least provide options for nicer looking defaults.
