Fully agree. Depending on business operations or simply your duties, there is always a subset or reports that you regularly access. This is one case of "too much information kills the information". Why not do something along the lines of what you do in WSUS where you can select the criteria for your searches. Even without going that far, just being able to keep some of the out-of-the-box reports as favorites (much like Internet bookmarks) would be a big time-gainer.
