Using the VAMT is clunky as it does not continually monitor the status. Running on a large network takes days to complete the scan of all devices. SCCM is already talking to the client so it should be easy to add licensing type and status into the HW inventory.

The update itself already supports this via "%systemdrive%\Users\Default\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\WSUS\SetupConfig.ini"
Having support for this built into SCCM rather than a pushed script package would make it easier. This work around is also not something well documented with the upgrade process.

The ability to add features similar to the way we service patches would be useful for building new OS images. Would be easier and faster than trying to integrate them during the task sequence.
