The first slice of this is now available with #configmgr 2002 production release (publicly available). You can now attach your on-prem #configmgr to Intune, and see #configmgr managed clients (including win7 and server OSs) in intune/MEMAC UI. We will add more and more capabilities over time.

Tempted to mark this completed, now that we’ve released full blown powerBI integration:

I tend to agree that PowerBI isnt quite the valid solution. Have done a fair bit with SCCM reports using SSRS and dabbled briefly in PowerBI. As great as the current templates look, there are two showstoppers for us.
Firstly, needing a seperate SQL DB to use the reports means more overhead for our SQL support and currently makes it a bit hard for us to setup.
Would be great if reports were made just to read the DB rather than create seperate structure (have tested a few custom dashboards myself and this is viable but needs a lot of tweaking. Would be great to have some good templates to work off without the full DB requirement)
Secondly, the fact that powerbi requires full pro license subscription for each user accessing the published report is a bit over the top and also not viable for us currently (Yes individuals can export the report file and upload to their own workspace, but its hardly viable in a corporate environment).
