This could be a mess if the Default Domain GPO has been heavily modified, or if there are problems in the GPO infrastructure (excessive loop-backs, WMI filters, etc.) which could grind the process to a halt and cause time-outs. I could see having the option to "allow" or "deny" GPO processing until the very end though. Otherwise, just add a "Run command" step at the end to invoke "GPUPDATE" (if there isn't a forced reboot)

Looks like Application Bundles will address this from a different angle.

I can't believe this only has two votes. Seems like a no brainerd. Then again, I'm a no brainer

I could see scenarios where this could be potentially detrimental to an environment that builds automation on top of custom attributes within ConfigMgr.

Updated to Noted. We’ve been discussing the same in our planning meetings.

So if (when) the Windows 10 team decides to leave Control Panel in a dark alley and drive away, what happens to the orphaned applet? Assuming .cpl objects will still execute on their own. Hopefully this is cleaned up before Control Panel goes away?

Poor, sad, lonely suggestion, all alone in its dark corner, with a box of tissues. *sniffle*

Extend the new Scripts feature to allow importing of scripts from external sources such as PowerShell Gallery, GitHub, TechNet Gallery, etc. or some sort of Scripts marketplace gallery.

Doing this everywhere in the console would be expensive/difficult. Rather than wait to make any improvement until the time we can fix it all… I’m curious what the top 10 most important places to fix are. I’m thinking we fix those first, and then go from there.

    1. Query Rule forms. 2. Task Sequence Editor should "remember" last-used metrics.

Maybe an option for language would be to query the host OS setting to determine the default language selection, but I agree, it should be one selection by default.

Nice idea! I'd like to see theme support throughout all apps on Windows, but it's obviously per-app.

Oh boy. I like this suggestion, but it would also be nice if vendors could be encouraged (beaten?) to standardize their enterprise driver offerings in a way that makes it easier to process through OSD.
