  1. Create JEA templates for diffrent SCCM roles

Just Enough Administrator (JEA https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn896648.aspx) is something that would increase security and enable support personell to troubleshoot SCCM on clients/server without giving them full administrator rights.

Maybe you could provide JEA templates that match the diffrent RBAC roles in SCCM.

For example a JEA Patch Admin template could allow the following:
    - Read SCCM logs
    - Read Windowsupdate.log
    - Restart the Windows Update service
    - Read WMI related to Updates
    - and so on.

Providing templates like this would simplify the process of getting started with JEA. It would be even better if MS could provide templates for other…

    • windows feature

would be great if the ts had an option to add/remove windows features, something like mdt has, so we don't need to create scripts or run dism commands.

      • SCCM Software updates - Be able to create Server dependencies for Software Updates

This idea is about having the possibility to create an (optional) dependancy between specified servers, so that a server will not be updated until the server it depends on is already considered fully up to date.
This would be extremely effective -for instance- for Applications that require the Database Server to be up and running before the Application Server. Especially in large environments these are challenges that SCCM currently doesn't provide any solution for bar scheduling Application Servers in a seperate, later window (which is not ideal for multiple reasons).

        • Fully automate creation of new Boot Disks

When you need to create a boot disk you need to go through multiple steps. When ConfigMgr setup is run Boot Disk creation is fully automated using the installed ADK. I would love it if there were a one button option to create a boot disk in the console using whatever version of the ADK is currently installed.

          • Open Computer Management and Explore Computers C: Drive from Console

Option to open Computer Management and Explore Computers C: Drive from SCCM console when right clicking in a computer.

When trubleshooting a machie it would be nive to have an easy wasy to open file explorer at C: drive, just by right clicking on the machine.
Currently i have to either copy hostname and C$ to it.

It would also be helpful to be able to open Computer managment console for machine in quiestion from SCCM console.

            • FSP configuration on Clients

I configured a Fallback Status Point on a test site and noticed illogical behavior.
IntranetHostName Under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\CCM\FSP gets the new FSP, but Hostname doesn’t get this value. This is noted in LocationService.log every 25 hours ‘Updated FSP … from AD to local. When I execute ccmsetup.exe on a machine both values get the new FSP.

FSPStateMessage.log contains errors when HostName is not configured:
              Failed to create HTTP connection
              [CCMHTTP] ERROR: URL=HTTP:///SMS_FSP/.sms_fsp, Port=80, Options=480, Code=12005, Text=ERROR_WINHTTP_INVALID_URL
Successfully queued event on HTTP/HTTPS failure for server '[]'.

I presume the next message means the FSP Message got send with the InternalHostname afterwards.

              • Scheduled quick scans should run on a laptop using battery power

Scheduled quick scans will not run on a laptop using battery power. Laptops are only plugged in when turned off and stored in charging carts so they NEVER automatically scan. I am trying to manage thousands of laptops in a school system. An option should be available to run the scan even when not plugged in to AC power.

                • Add collection location in collection property

Add info of the "Location" if you search for collection.
e.g. we use Folders and subfolder for companies. and each time we search for collections we dont know the Location.
we got more than 5000 collections.. where this is tricky to find out via
                  Eyes .

                  • Approval process for deploying required task sequences

It would be great to have an approval process for deploying required task sequences because they are such a high risk. This could be similar to how group policy is handled with AGPM.

                    • True metering of an Application, but not an exe

Excellent work in adding new features in SCCM 2012.
Current model of metering thru exe, though works to an extent, it has flaws and doesn't offer needed confidence or trust to business about actual metering of an application as its limited to an exe. If possible, I request Microsoft to research on allowing SCCM admin to select an application, in backend SCCM converts that to all related exe for metering on clients and then monitor only installed application of those group of exe. Its note easy and throw some challenges but I trust and for experts at MS, nothing is…

                        • management point iis log cleanup

We are finding we have reached a point where the IIS logs on our management points are frequently close to filling the disks. It would be nice for ConfigMgr to have a *native* ability to configure a cleanup of IIS logs for components that use it rather than having to create a separate "scheduled task" or similar action.
This could even be an action triggered when the component monitor reports a low disk space on MP status.

                          • If you could add links to the log locations under the Monitoring Workspace that would be a real time saver!

Having shortcuts to the log files, both regular and SMS logs in the Monitoring Workspace seems rather logical to me.

Now if you want to change settings package you need to manually find every single instance of Gather, and replace settings package. Why not have it set as TS preference, and you could set it once for a TS, like you do when you use wizard to set up TS.

                              • Allow option to select AND/OR for searches of same criteria type including in ADR's too

Currently when selecting criteria multiple times of the same type (such as title) allow the OR to be selectable as "OR" or "AND". This would make ADR's more powerful as well, to which ADR's incorrectly state OR when an AND is in fact being used currently.

                                • Switch to next SUP - scripted on client

ConfigMgr agents are able to fallback to an alternative SUP if the original SUP failed - agents do not fallback to the original SUP once it’s available again. In this case fallback needs to be triggered manually. This can be done from the console using „client notification“ – wouldn’t it be good to also be able to force SUP fallback on the client itself? Document a script method to switch to the next SUP that can be run on the client itself.

                                  • Automate Run Scripts and have Script Status be included as a exportable report

My team and I would love to see a way to automate the "Run Scripts" on a schedule, as well as have the Script Status be accessed by a report. this would provide a level of accountability and an audit trail that we would use for various internal and external compliance checks.

                                    • Add resources dialog not accepting 'Enter'

If you like to add a resource to a collection by right clicking on it and starting the 'Add Resource'-Dialog, you have to click the search button by mouse or using tab after enter a search string. Perhaps it will be better to enable pressing the enter button to search for clients.

                                      • Schedule wipe/retire

Have the ability to schedule wipe/retire. For instance when a user quits his or her job then we can say that on that day device will be wiped or retired.

                                        • Simplify finding the current month's software updates

Provide a dashboard or view that displays the current month's software updates. Allow for selecting of updates and a button to create a software update group directly. Basically, simplify the process of identifying the updates needed to deploy each month.
