Allow using a custom icon for software center
The new branding options in Software Center are fantastic. With the ability to add a logo and web content, it really does look fantastic and users seem to have been receptive.
The final touch would be the ability to customize the icon on the start menu through client settings. We could do that in a GPO, but it's clunky.

Wake On LAN returns machine to previous state after a customisable time period.
It's great to be able to wake a machine up from Power Off or Hibernate to deploy software but being able to specify a time to stay awake before returning to the previous state would be great.
If I wake my client fleet at 0300 for a deployment which takes (say) 15 minutes, it is a waste of power to leave 2000 machines awake after the deployment.

Content Status in Peer Cache Sources
We need to see which content is in cache of peer cache source computers. It is possible with SQL query, but there is no builtin screen/menu in console for that. It will ease the management of peer cache source computers in boundary groups without DP
It can be like 'Content Status' menu for only for Peer Cache Source Computers.

Maintenance Window Templates
The concept of Maintenance Window Templates would allow an administrator to device pre-configured Maintenance Windows (The timeframes and recurrence schedules) which could then be chosen from when configuring Collection Maintenance Windows. In addition, these same pre-defined Maintenance Windows could be made available (via Software Center, if allowed by the admin) for end users to be able to change the individual system Maintenance Window on demand from that pre-defined list.
This is essentially an expansion on the "Business Hours" feature however it allows the admin to specify maintenance windows which may align with Business Unit or IT Maintenance Window schedules.

Automatically check for corruption in %windir%\system32\grouppolicy\machine\registry.pol
The above file is well know to corrupt and when it does so it causes software updates to fail with:
Failed to Add Update Source for WUAgent of type (2) and id {GUID}
in WUHandler.log
There are documented ways of testing this file for corruption; please could the scheduled client health check look at this file and for the above errors. The fix is easy - delete registry.pol from the above location and trigger a group policy update to recreate it.

Create a client option to clear the Application Catalog history.
We get occasional complaints from our end users that software they once installed from the Application Catalog (e.g. MS Access 2013) still keeps showing up in their Software Center as "Available" once they have either uninstalled it or have been upgraded to e.g. Office 2016.
It would be nice to have an option in the SCCM client to clear the history and make it forget about the previously requested applications from the Application Catalog.

Add support for having an apostrophe in a directory name in SCEP Exclusion settings
If a directory has an apostrophe in it (for example, C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware"), it is not possible to add an exclusion of the directory or a file in the directory as an error dialog states "The path contains one or more of the invalid characters." As it is possible to create a directory with an apostrophe in it, it should be possible to add the directory to the exclusion settings for SCEP.

Reuseable .exe list for closing running Application
Would be nice to be able to create a default list of .exe's that can be selected for the detection of open apps feature. And/or have CM remember them and keep a running history to dynamically build those exclusions. That way, you don't have to type in the same exclusions over and over, or fat finger them or keep them in notepad to remember.

Button to Temporarily Disable SCEP
It would be great for both devices and collections to be able to right-click or click a button in the ribbon to temporarily disable SCEP. Many times do we have a piece of software that requires A/V to be disabled to install. We have a collection that disables SCEP, so we move the machine to that collection, and then move it back later, but sometimes you don't get the all clear, or you just get busy. If you could click a button to either disable, or temporarily disable immediately, that would be amazing. I have used other A/V products thatā¦

Deployment Status - Add additional column for Primary User or Logged on User
When viewing deployment status (specifically an application or update deployed to a device collection), a simple and easy win would be to add additional column for Primary User and/or Logged on User for all the compliant states (Compliant, In Progress, Error, and Unknown)
The columns that are currently there are:
Device
User
Software
Collection
Status Type
Deployment TypeUser column does not show helpful information, only SYSTEM.

Option to scheulde a mandatory reboot in maintenance window configuration
It would be great as part of configuring a maintenance window for a set of computers we could tick a box that would create a mandatory reboot at the beginning or the end of the window. So that even if there is no software or updates the computer will still get a clean reboot.

Maintenance window start date regression in 1606 - year 1970
We have a 5-minute, non-recurring maintenance window starting 1/1/1970 1:00 AM configured on several critical device collections to prevent reboots due to accidentally-configured deployments - and this worked as of SCCM 1511. In 1606 though, when I try to edit that maintenance window, I receive an un-handled ArgumentOutOfRangeException (Value should be between 'MinDate' and 'MaxDate').
Creating a new maintenance window starting 1/1/1971 1:00 AM (the UI won't even allow you to set 1970, it'll just flip it back to the previous value) and deleting the older one works, but this is certainly a bug. I don't know yet if otherā¦

Make Package Conversion Status Dashboard clickable
Can you make the Package Conversion Status Dashboard clickable so you can see the data behind the conversion readiness for packages. Without this data you need to write a SQL script to get the data for all packages from the database.

Software: Protocol Handler for Chrome Firefox etc
Most of us have web portals where users log tickets, issues, etc. While the application catalog was available we always had a url that we could add to our portal allowing users to browse software.
While the development team for ConfigMgr have allowed direct linking to software using a url, it seems that browsers like chrome and firefox do not know that software: should be the default protocol handler to open Software Center. So this forces them to have to select it as the default manually.
We would like these to be registered for all users.
This would be meanā¦
