I'm trying to create a 'big' stand alone media..and timeout is not enough.. actually, if i select everything, timeout generate an error ..
could you think a possibilities to extend the timeout for big infrastructure and task like me ?1 vote
Currently you can use the canned detection methods (file present, MSI package code present, etc) OR a script, but not both. It would be useful to have the option of using both together, so that if you need to evaluate based on file content (such as in a config file) you don't have to manually script standard application detection.1 vote
Add predefined action (to task sequence or application/package) to copy files/folders to user workstation (as user OR as system)
Often whole software config is a single file. It is a pain to keep creating batch files for a simple copy action1 vote
While running a task sequence I would like to see the option to create a custom Task Sequence Variable and it's value depending on a return code from a running step (cmdline, PowerShell script, Application, Package). This variable can be used later on in the TS to run or skip specific steps.
Think about additional reboot steps if a BIOS flash is performed (if no flash is performed you don't want a reboot). Currently I need to create and run a powershell script to make this happen.1 vote
Need ability to define global rule for all distribution point servers never use a USB drive. We have techs in the field plugging drives into DP servers and without the nosmson_drive.sms flag file and SCCM start using the USB drive distributing packages and then they pull USB drive after their work and the DP has issues.1 vote
"Software changes must be applied to your computer after xx/xx/xxxx"
The wording here is kind of awkward in this dialog box. Saying that the updates "must be applied after" hints that the user might have to apply these updates manually after the deadline. I've had calls from users wondering if we want them to do something after the deadline. I think the dialog's intention would be clearer if it said something like:
"Software changes will automatically be applied to your computer after XX/XX/XXXX at XX:XX AM/PM"1 vote
When using offline files if an item is detected within the cache it gets removes by SCEP using the system account. Offline files sees the file removed from the cache but not by the user so it just downloads it again from the file server. This repeats indefinitely and is only resolved if the file is touched by the user rather than system.1 vote

The Remote Control Viewer is missing features which are the norm in many other Remote Control solutions.
- Button to Remote Lock the screen of the computer when the supporter is done with work.
- Button for a Remote Reboot and wait for the machine.
- Ability to configure that Key Combinations like Windows + R are sent to the remote computer instead of being executed locally.1 vote
If a Pull Distribution Point is throttled, this affects the remote site system from a client perspective, so its client downloads are throttled as well (even though those downloads may essentially come from itself).
Throttled download jobs, as the system is functioning as a Pull DP, should be separated from throttled download jobs as the system is functioning as a client/agent. I'm not sure how this can be accomplished; it may have something more to do with BITS than something internal to ConfigMgr, but it would be welcome.1 vote
For Upgrade there's a PS cmdlet but for Site Recovery there's none. Neither a wmi method nor a sql sp afaik.
Please enable automation of Site recovery especially since for secondaries that is the supported way to deploy a hotfix.1 vote

get the stupid smiley face off my computer1 voteplanned · AdminAdam Meltzer (ConfigMgr Product Team) (Software Engineer, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager) responded
While we are not planning to remove the “Send-a-Smile” functionality that’s baked into certain applications, we have received feedback that some users are not fans of the current icons that we are using for this feature. The good news is that we do have plans in future releases to update the artwork.
Thank you for your feedback.

When creating or modifying a device collection using a query rule can SCCM include an option to provide an output of the results before applying. Maybe it could open in Monitoring > Queries to show the results and then once verified the Apply button can be clicked. This could prevent a mis-configured query resulting in deployments to devices that were added inadvertently. It could also reduce a step from having to create an actual query and then importing that query.1 vote
The "Software updates - Compliance by computer" sub-report is an easy way to see which computers have failed updates.
Updates often are in a "failed" state because the computer hasn't been restarted recently.
Therefore, adding the last time the computer restarted to the report would make it easy to quickly identify if that is the likely cause of failing updates.
(Additionally, adding "primary user" to the report would be appreciated.)1 vote
