instead of SCO require Feature in SCCM once image complete/fails should get report on email with list of apps,System,Name,Ipaddress,OU etc.1 vote
Updated by bobmn for sangeev/OSD
Various applications are experience very large (<20gb).
The content I would like to have but not permanently in the ccmcache, otherwise I run the hard disks full.
Therefore I delete the content from the ccmcache directory after installation.
The peer cache feature offers every package or application in peer by default.
An application property (Deployment Types / Content / Specify the content location ...), whether the software should be provided in the peer, would be helpful.1 vote

SCCM How to MIGRATE Applications from one VMware SCCM 2012 R2 Server that is dying to a New VM ConfigMan 2012 R2 Server
I need to Move Applications or Migrate them from a dying VMware Server 2012 R2 to a newly built SCCM 2012 R2 VMware Server. Plain and simple, but no documentation is found.1 vote
It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever to wrap the Mac SCCM client in an MSI file. All the MSI file contains is a single DMG file which then has to be copied to the Mac.
Having to install the MSI file on a Windows machine to get a DMG which has to be copied to the Mac afterwards is annoying, please just make the DMG file available for direct download.
When creating a Software Update Group, you cannot currently use periods in the name. For example, if you tried to create a Software Update Group named "Special Handling - .NET Framework 4.6.1" it would fail as periods are not allowed.
For bonus points, find any other disallowed characters and make the reason they are blocked go away.
Thanks for the help!1 vote
Central maintenance of custom exit codes required.
When using wrappers, exit / return codes must be entered in each application. This is too cumbersome and error-prone.1 vote
It would be great if the Servicing Extension Tool released in 2014 would be integrated to the Current Branch Version. Separate installation still works for CB and show all Release KBs, new blogs, Site Versions and Client Targeting. See attached figure. So adding this stuff to current "Updates and Servicing" section as sub point would be fantastic. This helps also the community to see directly new KBs and information about issues etc. and they can faster react to fix it.1 vote
With SCCM CB expired updates are automatically removed from SUGs. This means that the column "Number of Expired Updates" in the Software Updates Group view is redundant, the number will always be zero. I would like to see it replaced by a "Number of Superseded Updates" column instead.1 vote
To remove the 'Update' flag within the property window of a collection isn't enough to stop the update. You need to set the schedule to 'none'. --> To remove the Update Flag should be enough.1 vote

Would like the ability to drill through to a list of devices in the Office 365 Pilot and Health Dashboard. For example, clicking the Recommended Pilot Devices bar would display the devices.1 vote
Can you increase the size for application script detection? There is currently a limit of 32KB for a PowerShell detection script. In a normal use-case a detection script would be 10 lines or less, but there are times when longer scripts can be necessary. My case in particular requires that I query device ID's on client computers. There can be thousands of unique device ID's that I may have to check, but this puts my script above the size limitation.1 vote
Currently it is not possible to efficiently query for properties of a collection membership rule. In the SDK the membership rules are a lazy property of the collection and must be retrieved one at a time before they can be tested. This iteration is impossibly slow and inefficient. If there was a SMS_CollectionRule WMI class then one could use a join query to search for Collections based on rule properties. In a real world situation, this would enable tools to quickly select a collection and find which collections it is a member of. This is really needed where collections are used to deploy software at an educational instutute where classroom based collections are included as members of software deployment collections. At the moment this information can only be effectively retrieved by directly querying the SQL server:
SELECT CollectionName, CollectionComment, QueryName FROM vCollections
JOIN CollectionRules on vCollections.CollectionID = CollectionRules.CollectionID
WHERE collection_rules.QueryName like '%MyCollection%'

Do a tool which automatically analyzes an SCCM site based on Windows 2012R2 exist? This tool should ha a choice to apply recommended fixes
Is there a tool that automatically analyzes an SCCM site based on Windows 2012R2?
This tool should have a choice to apply recommended remedian fixes for errors as a normal SCCM RAP reveals.1 vote
When collecting Telemetry data and Application Data. when presented in the Desktop Analytics Portal. no need to include Windows components. it just muddys the data. Customers are really just looking for their off the shelf applications and in-house built applications that have compatiblity problems. Windows components like the "settings" app should not show up in lists.1 vote

The datawarehouse reports are a welcome addition. However it would be much more useful to be able to filter on collection for the report "Endpoint Protection and software updates compliance - Historical". We could then drill down to collections built on OS Version etc1 vote
Add a column to collections view that shows the number of deployments to that collection1 vote
Run scripts brought a brand new model to handle client troubleshooting, but it can run from collections only.
it would have been super useful to be able to run it on a machine\category from the Deployment Status node and then maintain clients with in progress \ unknown \ active \ inactive state.
today when we have a list of computers who didn't report their status we need to manually create a collection with these clients to run a scripts and there's not even a built-in way to create a collection from the asset details1 voteplanned · AdminAdam Meltzer (ConfigMgr Product Team) (Software Engineer, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager) responded
We plan to add this to more places in the UI in future releases. Thanks for the feedback.
