  1. Add Schedule column to v_servicewindow

With the SQL view vSMS_ServiceWindow, there are a column Schedules. This column allows you to see exactly what day Maintenance Window is scheduled for. The correspond supported SQL view is v_ServiceWindow. However, that column isn’t listed without it being listed there is no way to determine what day an MW applies too.

    Select distinct
    isnull(SWin.Name,'No Maintenance Windows') as 'SWinName',
    isnull(SWin.IsGMT,'') as 'SWinIsGMT',
    SWin.StartTime as 'SWinStartTime',
    isnull(SWin.Duration,0) as 'SWinDuration',
    case
    when isnull(SWin.ServiceWindowType, 0) = 0 then 'No Maintenance Windows'
when SWin.ServiceWindowType=1 then 'All Programs Service Window'
when SWin.ServiceWindowType=2 then 'Program Service Window'
when SWin.ServiceWindowType=3 then 'Reboot Required Service Window'
    when SWin.ServiceWindowType=4…

  2. Run detection without downloading application

When using dependencies and superseedence it seems that the client downloads applications to be able to run the detection method.

My scenario is that i have Application A which from today is dependent of Application B. i added Application B as a dependency and now Software Center shows that it wants to download 11 components. This would be every single superseeded application back to the first version of Application A in our environment.

  3. Listed Nested Task Sequences in the TS References

Listed Nested Task Sequences in the TS References

When displaying the referenced packages and applications for a task sequence in the References tab in the console, please add displaying the names of any nested task sequences as well.

  4. Add assigned time to Admin Console Deployment Display

When lookin g at the Monitoring\Deployment Display it would be helpful to be able to add the assigned time of a package so that we could sort on that column and have a list of what is deploying and exactly when as a helpful reminder, and at a single glance instead of having to drill down on individual deployment attributes in a single package.

  5. security center (WDATP) data in console Like Endpoint Protection status

I like to have the Data from the securitycenter.windows.com (WDATP) with all the new 1709 Defender features back in to the Console, we have the Endpoint Protection status in there, but It would be really nice to have all the exploit data visible in the console in the Monitoring / Security Workspace. also the possibility to Isolate Machines and so on. One Console for anything.

  6. Add custom Tables in Datawarehouse sync process

Would be great if customers can add (through UI) other tables in datawarehouse synchronization process. So that they can consume data from datawarehouse DataBase.

  7. Add MDT Variables to Native CM task sequences

Please add the variables that are created during the MDT gather step into Native ConfigMgr.
    Examples
    BIOSVERSION
    ISDESKTOP
    ISLAPTOP
    ISSERVER
    ISUEFI
    ISONBATTERY
    MAKE
    MODEL
    DEFAULTGATEWAY
    IPADDRESS001
    OSDSTARTTIME
    Several others

there are community tools or posts to accomplish this in a hack way, but would prefer it was standard not requiring additional content to create.

    More info https://garytown.com/task-sequence-variables

  8. Cancel or delete client operation permissions

Cancelling or deleting a client operation under Monitoring > Client Operations can only be enabled if the Security Role has security scope set to the All Systems collection. There should be a security permission to enable the ability to cancel or delete client operations instead of adding all systems collection security scope to a role.

  9. Grant Select to smsschm_users on all SQL Synonym

When CMCB or even CM12 creates an Inventory class, it also creates a SQL Synonym too. These SQL Synonyms, are basically the same as the SQL Views, with one key difference, they don’t have the permission set to allow for smsschm_users “select” access on them. This means that low rights users will receive an error when uses.

So what is this important? This is a great question, and the reason is that the behavior when importing sms_def.mof changes between CM07, CM12, and CMCB. The SQL Synonyms is named exactly what is created in older versions of CM. So When creating…

  10. Bring Desktop Analytics to Configuration Manager

Bring the full new Desktop Analytics to SCCM, at ignite it was presented and you can have it only trough the fast track channel, when we can have the full experience in SCCM that your be great also for the co-managed devices and maybe with a connector to Intune to have the Intune SA clients also in SCCM for an overview.

  11. Add a priory order option to Compliance Items 'settings'.

Add a priory order option to Compliance Items 'settings'. Currently you can have multiple settings but you don;t know in which order they process. if you have 'setting 1' dependent on 'setting 2' you can't specify the order in which they process. Same might go for Baselines but that not my current need.

  12. Mark and remove multiple Content Locations from the package properties

Since a long time it is only possible to delete one Content Location at a time. This becomes very tedious when dealing with several dozens of distribution points.
This request is to offer multiple select and deletion for content locations.

  13. CM Messaging SDK Documentation shouldn't be a .chm help file AND...

The docs that exist for the CM Messaging (note, the messaging SDK is not a part of the larger CM SDK docs here https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh442686(v=cmsdk.16).aspx) is currently a .chm Help file, which is lovably nostalgic.

However it doesn't do justice to the power of the SDK. For instance, Discovery and hardware inventory are barely covered in the SDK docs. I'm troubleshooting an issue now with the Messaging SDK in which a fake CM Client appears with Windows 6.2 NT Workstation, even though it is a fully patched Win10 machine. Weird stuff.

Anyway, it would be great if the docs were…

  14. Database design

There are lots of duplicate views (v_collection, V_collections) that stores almost the same information. To review and remove those duplicates would ease the use of the database.

Use unique identifiers - in rare cases the resourceid is called itemkey. Or the product code shows up sometimes as Software Code. A unified naming convention would be very appreciated.

Devide information for CI deployments/compliancy, those for applications, Security Upates, Deployment Types and whatnots. Having all stored to one table/view CI_ConfigurationItems is very confusing and very difficult to retrieve.

Outdated versions/revisions (apps, CIs) not in use should be removed also on the CAS…

  15. Customizable Deployment Alerts

Instead of the threshold for successful deployment(Less than % Success) and Threshold for failed deployment(More Than % Failure).

Add the ability to select from a list of scenarios:
    Success > 99%
    Success < 50%
    Failure > 10%
    InProgress < 0%

I would sometimes like to receive an email when the deployment finished with one of those thresholds that provides the report of Success, InProgress, Failures at a specified time after the deployment or end of maintenance window.

  16. Add processor architecture (x64/x86) to Check Readiness step

Some task sequences can run only on the correct processor architecture e.g. cannot upgrade Win7 x86 to Win10 x64 or cannot install x64 OS to 32 bit device.

Add processor architecture (x64/x86) to Check Readiness step. Thus, the incorrect task sequence is immediately canceled if you try to install wrong architecture TS.

  17. Add 'Member Count' to Deployment Wizard

When deploying Software, Updates etc. the Deployment Wizard should show the actual 'Member Count' of a collection like in the example screenshot.

In addition in the Deployment Overview the 'Assets Targeted' column should be displayed as default and immediately display something after a deployment has been created. Currently it can take quite a long time before you can see the actual amount of clients targeted.

This will make it easier for Sys Admins to prevent accidental deployments

  18. subnets

When syncing the IP address range during Discovery, could you also check that the Description in Sites and Services has or has not changed? At least the description isn't in sync for me.

  19. Add Tenant ID and Service Instance to the Microsoft Intune Subscription View in Admin Console

It is always hard to find tenantID, Onmicrosoft.com address and Service Instance when managing Intune in Hybrid.
It would be of great help if we could get this information in the Microsoft Intune Subscription View in the ConfigMgr Admin Console

  20. Export functionality for user data/profile, remote connection profile, and company resource access features

This is a DCR from one of our MVPs. The ask is for the same export feature that exists for configuration baselines and configuration items be available for:
    * User data/profiles
    * Remote connection profiles
    * Company resource access profiles, such as:
    - * VPN profiles
    - * Wi-Fi profiles
    - * Email profiles
    - * Certificate profiles

The MVP also states that, "the history is important for auditing purposes as well as rollback in case of non-authorized changes.

If this is important to you, please vote this up!
