  1. I would like to be able to right click on a device and run a ping.

    I would be nice to be able to open a device collection, right click on a device and start a ping.

  2. Add Remote Powershell option in the list of remote tools (same area as Remote desktop)

    Add the Remote Powershell option in the list when you right click on a device and hit Start and it gives you the List of Remote tools. By adding the Remote Powershell option and adding a Policy to configure and allow Remote powershell. This would allow for remote administration of a specific machine without having to use the other less secure methods of sending commands to a specific system.

  3. Monitoring deployments: troubleshooting Error's

    when viewing the deployments in the Monitoring section it would be handy just to be able to Add the computer name or names to a colleciton so that admins can run actions against those computers.

  4. Enhanced log file management function of site server

    I want you to enhance the function to rotate the following logs.
    Ā· Function to rotate every day and manage generations
    Ā· Function to back up to specified folder

  5. Add SQL Server configuration recommendations to Management Insights

    Based on a database analysis, give recommendations for SQL Server settings that are relevant for the ConfigMgr performance. Examples: MDOP, memory configuration, compatibility level (since 110 is obviously sometimes better than higher levels), ad hoc workloads.

  6. Bluescreen dumpfile analysis

    Run a remote scan of dump files created in the minidump folder of local clients as you would with WinDbg X86 or X64 but having this ability from with in the config manager console.

  7. Provide free technical preview sandbox

    It often proves to be difficult and costly to maintain a prod environment, and a lab environment on top of that. It is not becoming almost essential to have a technical preview environment, but in corporate culture you cant just stand up another server with a domain without significant red tape and support costs.

    It would be awesome if Microsoft would provide cloud hosted TP environments like they had for SCCM 2012 in the virtual labs. They need only last 2-3 months, and then just blow them away to create a new one when the new TP is released.

  8. Create a tool to easily troubbleshoot and report root problems for an application deploiement failing.

    Most of the support desk do not have the needed knowledge to go to all the logs on a client and check why an application is not installed or do not appears in Catalog.
    Is it a policy issue , a Global conditions issue , does a requirement is not met , is a dependencies not installed ?
    Add to this one time to go to log you need ScopeId or CI , or Policy ID , all this make difficult the job for a SD Level 1 or 2
    Results it come too often to Level 3 and Adminā€¦

  9. include Windowsupdate.log in log collection

    Hi,

    We have new option to collect client log from the console. it works quite good.

    But to better troubleshoot frequent WindowsUdpate problems, it would be nice to include windowsupdate.log (after instant generation on w10/w2016+), and eventually CBS.log

    This way we have a better view of the computer state when digging for non installed KB, without asking remote user to send the files.

  10. Fix "missing deployment type issues" once and forever

  11. Translate IDs in Support Center logs

    When viewing the logs using the log viewer in the Support Centre, it shows CIs with their IDs. When you're troubleshooting something, this can be really frustrating as you have to manually translate the IDs when trying to identify things.

    Please add the ability to automatically translate the IDs in logs for CIs into their display names to improve their readability.

  12. Open Computer Management and Explore Computers C: Drive from Console

    Option to open Computer Management and Explore Computers C: Drive from SCCM console when right clicking in a computer.

    When trubleshooting a machie it would be nive to have an easy wasy to open file explorer at C: drive, just by right clicking on the machine.
    Currently i have to either copy hostname and C$ to it.

    It would also be helpful to be able to open Computer managment console for machine in quiestion from SCCM console.

  13. Ensure Tables v_ClientDownloadHistoryDP_BG and table ClientDownloadHistory have correct start time data with client.

    Currently the tables vClientDownloadHistoryDPBG and table ClientDownloadHistory have correct start time data with client. It does not match when a client downloads a package either from the DP our cloud DP and it's very hard to match the data. As per the escalation engineer, this is by design?

  14. Powershell cmdlet that tests a client's Update Deployment health

    A PowerShell cmdlet that will test the connectivity and communication of the client to the SCCM server. This is requested as there are multiple articles that document the Updates process for SCCM 2007 but none that provide a high level overview for SCCM 2012. Powershell would be ideal as it is able to execute WMI methods then query SCCM logs to verify the success or failure (along with the error message) of the SCCM 2012 Updates process.

  15. Scheduled actions timeline

    Is it possible to add a way to view Config Manager Client scheduled actions as interpreting scheduler.log needs a manual when you factor in randomisation and deferals?

    Would be particularly helpful when troubleshooting policy evaluation and configuration items

  16. Integrate Servicing Extension Tool

    It would be great if the Servicing Extension Tool released in 2014 would be integrated to the Current Branch Version. Separate installation still works for CB and show all Release KBs, new blogs, Site Versions and Client Targeting. See attached figure. So adding this stuff to current "Updates and Servicing" section as sub point would be fantastic. This helps also the community to see directly new KBs and information about issues etc. and they can faster react to fix it.

  17. Add log file information when opening a log in CMTrace

    It would be great to see a tooltip or option in the cmtrace toolbar to get more details about a log file. For example when opening EPCtrlMgr.log I see a tooltip with the description of the log file "Records information about the syncing of malware threat information from the Endpoint Protection site system role server with the Configuration Manager database."

  18. Restart Components of Secondary Sites in the console through the component status

    Restart Components of Secondary Sites in the console through the component status and configuration manager service manager.
    This can be done on the Primary site but the secondary sites are not listed via the system status\component status.

  19. Management Point Admin. It would be great to have a Management Point folder under Administration, with reports and MP health checks.

    We recently added a new MP to a trusted domain, and modified the boundaries, so client on that domain would only connect to that MP. We have no way of checking if this is working. A simple list of clients connected to which MP would be super helpful. We would be able to tell from a list which domains these clients are on and if they are connected to the correct MP. Also health info of the MPs, trolling through logs ain't fun. A quick easy look at MP health status to tell if something needs investigating.

  20. Add link to Component Status description errors

    When reviewing Component Status error messages the description field is often vague and leaves one guessing as to what the issue really is. Would be nice if MS could add a link to description field or another area that would point to specific and relevant information.
