Software Center: Add Ability to Launch the Application
Would like to have the ability for the end user to not just install an available deployment, but also launch it there. The way I envision this happening is once the user has installed an available deployment, the "Install" button would change to a "Launch" button, and the Uninstall button would be perhaps a separate button, etc., or perhaps even the icon of the application could be used to launch it and the Install/Uninstall behavior could remain the same.
The benefit of this would be (1) if you removed the start menu or other entry points to the application and…

Available application which is not applicable must not show up in Software Center
[This is sort of an extension to https://configurationmanager.uservoice.com/forums/300492-ideas/suggestions/13002684-software-center-show-only-available-software-hid?]
Obviously, we can create applications with multiple deployment types in SCCM, each with its own set of requirements. Now say I create a simple MSI-based application with one deployment type, which has a requirement that Primary device must be true. If I make this available to a user collection, then it shows up for each of those users on their primary devices as available in Software Center. All great so far.
However, if one of those users logs in to a non-primary device, the application still shows up as available, and…

Allow user to select 'automatically restart' when applying all required changes.
When the user received the 'Software changes must be applied to your computer' there are two radio options:
'Apply all required changes now (recommended)'
'Apply all required changes outside my business hours'There is also an checkbox that say 'Restart my computer automatically if needed'. However, this checkbox is disabled when the first radio option is selected. I would ask that it remains enabled for both options. We are trying to train users to take an active role in installing updates according to their own schedule. The reboot process has become a large portion of the update process. So if…

Foreground color for Softwarecenter
When choosing white colour schema you have white letters with white foreground. Would be great if we can choose the foreground colour or if the letters keep black even when you mark Items on white colour schema.

remove the hide button from computer restart Dialog that user cannot close
When using the client settings - computer Restart - display a dialog box the user cannot close... with a countdown interval , the dialog displayed show a hidden button that didn't work.
If people cannot hide the dialog, then why not 'hide' the hide button ? That button creates expectations that are not met, and thus frustration.29 votes -

Hide software center from some users, availible to others
Provide a security group based method to hide software center from showing in the start menu. For example, domain users would not even see it in the start menu, but administrators would. The /ExcludeFeatures is a step in the right direction, but overkill for some customers who still want admins to have access.

Software Center: Add support for multiple category filtering.
the new Software Center (v1511) should have an option to filter per category (or multiple), like you have on the app catalog website today

Realtime health info of client via Software Center
This will help the 1st line support to gather more client information without having to contact 2nd line specialists, and possibly solve more incidents on their own.
The Software Center, when launched, should be able to read and display client status information and connectivity with server in a simplified UI, understandable to the Service Desk employees/ 1st line support.
This can include Policy evaluation status, connectivity with management point, certificate status, app-evaluation status, etc

Add a Date Modified for each app to be added as a column in Software Center installation status
Users are accustomed to seeing “Last Run Time” in RAP and it was easy to sort by that column to see apps installed by date. The “Date Modified” appears to be the “last run time” in Software Center but we have to click on each app in the Installation Status tab to see the date modified info.

Suspend Software Center activities when in PowerPoint presentation mode
Currently, there exists a setting in Software Center to "suspend Software Center activities when my computer is in presentation mode." Users don't have any idea what Windows Presentation Mode is. Ideally, the setting would stop Software Center activities when PowerPoint is running a presentation. That is often when you'd want to stop Software Center from installing something anyway.

Software Center: Log-File view Button
it would be **** to have a Button in the "new" Software center to open a log-file with a Summary of the last steps that are run on a system, like for a SW installation, in a end-User readable context.
example:
SW Policy received
SW downloaded success
SW install started
SW install success (or return code 3016)
SW has a reboot pending
etc.14 votes -

Catalog / Software Center should be usable by the blind
Screen reading assistants can't parse the app catalog - it just says "Silverlight" over and over. This isn't acceptable - web pages need to be usable by the blind.
