  1. make SCNotification.exe visible on the notification bar

    PROBLEM STATEMENT:

There is no available solution to make SCNotification.exe visible on the notification bar without manually enabling it. This is not feasible if we want to apply to large number of computers like our organization which have more than 150 000 clients. SCCM is Microsoft main product for client management, notification from SCCM should be one of the main icon on the taskbar.

    WORKAROUND ANALYSIS:

There is no available workaround. The Microsoft Support team is not able to provide a script to make the changes remotely.

    IMPACT TO BUSINESS:

The impact is our users are not aware of any…

The notification area belongs to the user, and Windows doesn’t provide a programmatic way to override the default behavior of which icons will show and which will go into the overflow.

That said, pop-up notifications should continue to appear even if an icon is hidden in the overflow area. If this is not the case, I’d recommend opening a support incident for deeper investigation.

  2. .chache Inheritance is disbaled

My customer is running into this issue:

By default after the client installation 1702 +UR1.
    1. In %Appdata% of the Users Software Center Folder „Inheritance“ is enabled
    2. But on the „.chache“ folder „Inheritance“ is disabled

All other Folders and Subfolders have the Inheritance enabled under Appdata. Is this not a BUG? Why is on the .chache folder the „Inheritance“ disabled?
Customer doing appdata redirection and enabled the Inheritance on the .chache because they need this. Later on after SCCM Client Upgrade all setting are back on default again.

  3. Configuration Client Setting - Turn off Application Website Point

Since SCCM CB 1806 it´s possible to use Software deployment to user without Application Catalog Website Point.

In an CAS environment it should be possible to turn off this setting otherwise if one primary server has installed this role, this setting will be setup to AUTOMATICALLY or you can select the server with the role installed.

This is a problem if you use it in different location with different setup, to turn off brings up more flexibility.

In my case i must now wait that other regions will remove this role.

  4. Need better 4k display support in Application Catalog Web

We've had reported scaling issues (very small fonts) in default view of Application Catalog Web (SCCM CB 1710). Using Silverlight currently, will there be an enhancement of the product, or?

  6. Software Center using White color is broken.

Change is needed in Software Center, when selecting White as color background the font color stays white as well so unable to see. It should change to black.
