  1. Add revision automatically under application in software center (1511+)

Please add (display) the application revision automatically under the application that is available in software center . This makes troubleshooting for helpdesk / system admin more easy .

    • Realtime health info of client via Software Center

This will help the 1st line support to gather more client information without having to contact 2nd line specialists, and possibly solve more incidents on their own.

The Software Center, when launched, should be able to read and display client status information and connectivity with server in a simplified UI, understandable to the Service Desk employees/ 1st line support.

This can include Policy evaluation status, connectivity with management point, certificate status, app-evaluation status, etc

      • Limit Simultaneous Application Downloads in Software Center

When machine gets rebuilt and the client discovers all of the requred software deployments it previously had, it attempts to download them all at the same time. More than half the time the client gets stuck due to this and needs to be reinstalled for software deployments to continue (sometimes multiple times before it gets everything installed). It would seem that if we had the ability to set an allowed number of simultaneious downloads (lets say 5 at a time), this problem wouldn't occur.

We install lots of applicaions in our lab environments due to shared lab spaces.

        • SCCM CB 1806 - Software Center slow to load "available" user-deployed apps

In SCCM CB 1806, we're no longer leveraging the AppCatalog roles for User-deployed applications With that said, I spoke to Mark Silvey and Raghu Kethineni at MS Ignite to express some concerns around how long it takes Software Center to load (50 seconds to over 1 minute) the initial list of applications after a user launches Software Center. We have A LOT of apps we make available to users.

Is there any way to speed this up from an IIS / Management Point perspective (cmuser service authentication / lookup ? )

Or maybe perform an initial query of '50 apps'…

          • Allow user to select 'automatically restart' when applying all required changes.

When the user received the 'Software changes must be applied to your computer' there are two radio options:
'Apply all required changes now (recommended)'
'Apply all required changes outside my business hours'

There is also an checkbox that say 'Restart my computer automatically if needed'. However, this checkbox is disabled when the first radio option is selected. I would ask that it remains enabled for both options. We are trying to train users to take an active role in installing updates according to their own schedule. The reboot process has become a large portion of the update process. So if…

            • SCCM updating Office 365 source install files.

SCCM should be able to update the Office Source files when new builds of Office are out. This should be able to be done in the background and automatically. I work with the Office Deployment team have had many customer upset that they need to update the source files for installs.

              • Add a Date Modified for each app to be added as a column in Software Center installation status

Users are accustomed to seeing “Last Run Time” in RAP and it was easy to sort by that column to see apps installed by date. The “Date Modified” appears to be the “last run time” in Software Center but we have to click on each app in the Installation Status tab to see the date modified info.

                • Software Center showing apps that failed or no longer advertised

Software Center showing apps that failed or no longer advertised, when apps fail still show up as Available Software, could we get another category (Failed Installs) that doesn't keep popping up and reminding users. Put text field somewhere next to "Installed Software"

                  • Approval workflows for Software Center

Approval portal for software and image requests. Have the user's manager, LOB tech lead, procurement, or the app owner (or combo of many) provide approvals for software or a Windows feature release. Ex. an LOB tech lead could provide approvals for all Windows Fall Creators updates to his/her LOB, thereby first ensuring all LOB apps have been certified for the build.

                    • Ability to customize Application catalog

It would be very nice and useful for many customers to have the ability to customize the application catalog site in terms of custom backgrounds/icons or page layout.

                      • Download size in Software Center

As currently as version 1702, the download size for all of the applications and packages in Software Center show "less than 1 MB" and won't show the correct size until after you start the install. This has been happening for a long time.

                        • Show application revision number in software center

Applications information in Software Center should include information about the currently presented application's revision. Many times, the client is very slow to receive/process changes to deployed apps and having the revision information handy would solve many troubleshooting sessions.

it would be **** to have a Button in the "new" Software center to open a log-file with a Summary of the last steps that are run on a system, like for a SW installation, in a end-User readable context.
                            example:
                            SW Policy received
                            SW downloaded success
                            SW install started
SW install success (or return code 3016)
                            SW has a reboot pending
                            etc.

                                • Improve application and task sequence behavior with SSD Hard Drives (metadata race conditions)

When a new system initially gets the SCCM Client installed and runs its initial scan for applications, machines with SSD Hard Drives (and even some machines without that are 'too fast') end up in a condition where the metadata failed to fully load. In this scenario, applications end up not getting listed in Software Center that the machine would otherwise be eligible (or even required) to have.
Modifying code found online, we have a Baseline Configuration that runs on systems to detect applications with missing metadata and then re-run the scan with a delay added; this resolves the problem and…

                                    • Catalog / Software Center should be usable by the blind

Screen reading assistants can't parse the app catalog - it just says "Silverlight" over and over. This isn't acceptable - web pages need to be usable by the blind.

                                      • Expand Deep Linking to other "Installable" items

The links to applications feature in 1702/1706 is great! Could this be expanded to other items that are "installable", i.e. Packages, Software Updates, OS Task Sequences?

                                        • Software Center: tile view

If you open the Applications tab in tile view you can't see the status, if an application is already installed. Pls. add an 'Installed' band (in green?) like the 'New'
