Allow copy to clipboard for any fields in Resource Explorer (Ctrl-C)
Please add functionality to use the clipboard in the Device -> Resource Explorer tool.
This would enable us to quickly grab some information for one of the systems, like copy a MAC-address or MSI install code.
At the moment, we either have to export the whole table to .txt and filter using a text-editor or manually write out the information which is error-prone.Functionality should look like:
- Double click in a field in the table.
- Press Ctrl-C to copy to clipboard.106 votesstarted ·AdminAdam Meltzer (ConfigMgr Product Team) (Software Engineer, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager) responded
Look for this functionality in the next Technical Preview release.

Improve and Automate the Content Cleanup Tool
The original UV item for the content cleanup tool was closed when 1702 was released. However, that item has several suggestions for improvement that were not implemented:
Handle in-process or failed content. This can quickly become a catch-22 where content is failing because a lack of disk space. In process I understand, but if content failed then an option to force it anyways and remove any content not tied to a valid package.
Support cleanup of the site server's content library.
Minimize the rights needed to run the tool. Currently, the tool requires 'Full Administrator' which seems overkill. Why would…

Make it simpler to author collection query rules
Create a tool to allow the translation of a SQL query back into WQL that can be used in a collection. Alternatively, change the WQL wizard to be more useful and similar to the SQL management studio.

Add Maintenance Task Results and Details to Monitoring in Console
Today, you configure maintenance tasks under the administration workspace in the console. To see the results and details around those tasks, you have to go into the component status and parse through the SMSDATABASENOTIFICATION_MONITOR to see when tasks started, stopped, how many records were cleaned, or whether the task failed, or, you can run a query directly against the database that shows when the tasks last started/stopped....but even then the task names in the DB don't necessarily match the names in the console. I propose that there is an area in Monitoring workspace that shows the status for…

CMCH should be included
I really can’t understand why CMCH isn’t bundled with SCCM... does microsoft give us some other proper solutions to remediate client health? https://secureinfra.blog/2019/01/17/system-center-configuration-manager-client-health-toolset-to-identify-and-remediate-client-issues/

Bring back CCMClean support
We need a "manual" or force clean - a complete removal of all traces of the ConfigMgr client to be supported again.
Too much wasted time is spent trying to track down all the left overs that cause unhealthy clients.
Thankfully some of those in the community have published scripts that help, but unfortunately they are "not supported" and many times incomplete.

Give more options in CMTrace for highlighting.

temporary local admin permissions
we need a function to add a normal user into the local Client Administration Group for a defined timerange.
User requests admin permission to install a Software XYZ, that he is able to install this Software XYZ by himself.
So a time scheduled "Software-Installation [add user abc into local admin group]" could be a solution. After this timerange, the user will be removed from this Group.17 votes -

Install MECM Support Center alongside client by default
I have no metrics to back this up, yet I feel Support Center is under utilized as it has to be installed separately and manually from the MECM client.
Could you give us one or more of the following options?
1) Add an checkbox in the client install settings area to have Support Center install after the MECM client is installed.
2) Have Support Center install by default like the MECM client
3) Make installing Support Center an option in the Add dropdown under a Tools folder, in the TS editor.15 votesNoted ·AdminAdam Meltzer (ConfigMgr Product Team) (Software Engineer, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager) responded
Great ideas.
We don’t package Support Center with the client at this time because it would add 15MB or so to the MSI package, and we’re trying to avoid bloating it as much as possible.
That being said, there’s certainly no reason we can’t have other solutions in place to make it easier to get Support Center onto client machines or to otherwise opt-in to having it distribute with clients.
We will look into ways to improve this in the future.

Combine Azure DevOps and SCCM through the new SCCM API Provider
I would love to see resource providers in the new Rest API be able to be tied into Azure DevOps and drive Operational deployments in a similar fashion that of Azure DevOps deploys ARM Templates.
This drives consistency in SCCM, being able to deliver automation with very little infrastructure and development time. This will also become a similar process in which customers are managing azure, so processes and procedures can be replicated for SCCM management.15 votes -

cmtrace.exe new color wish for success keyword (green)
It would be nice to have an additional color like for example green for the word success....
the yellow for warning and red for failure/error is already Handy but to outline a Special success state would make it perfect.

Add option to CMPivot to return Folder and Registry paths/keys to results.
I was writing a CMPivot query today to read the ConfigMgr execution history from the client registry. I couldn't figure out how to return the registry key name. In my use case, the registry key name IS the value that I need to return so I can match the package id with the history.
Registry('HKLM:\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SMS\Mobile Client\Software Distribution\Execution History\System*')

pre-populated SCCM for demo purpose
It would be nice to have a pre-populated SCCM that can quickly be setup to be able to showcase/demo SCCM when going to clients. I'm thinking something in the line of the already existing Microsoft Customer Immersion Experience (CIE) for Office 365, where for example a PowerShell script is used to drop the necessary sources and DB and performs a restore of an SCCM site.
