  1. software update allow download via windows update only after x number of hours

today if you select the option to allow the client to download the content from a DP, it can go to Microsoft. This is great, but I would like to have an option to allow this to happen only after x number of hours or maybe x number of retries, allowing the DP to get the content (in case of a admin forgot to add this to the DP, maybe slow link and need to copy content manually)

  2. Add tooltip to Icons for Software Updates

In the software updates space, it would be nice to have a tool tip (hover over) stating what the icon means. Whenever there is an unexpected icon, I need to look up what the icon means. A simple hover over tool tip stating whether it is normal, unavailable, expired, supereded, etc. would be very helpful. Here is the link that I have to look up https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sccm/sum/understand/software-updates-icons

  3. In the Edit Membership wizard please add the ability to search for available Software Update Groups

In the Edit Membership wizard, add the ability to search for available Software Update Groups. In an environment with many SUGs it is not easy to scroll and find the SUG you're looking for.

  4. More flexibility in deployment schedule for ADR deadlines

It would be nice to have the same scheduling options available in the ADR eval schedule and the deployment schedule. I have multiple release deployments that occur on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Thursday. If the ADR deployment available and deadlines had those options it would be cool...

  5. Create an installable package of updates from an ADR.

For some scenarios it would be helpful to preview an ADR, then make an executable that could be installed as part of a task sequence. Offline media, for example.
    thanks heaps,

  6. Custom Update Description in Software Center

Would be good if you could change the description of the Office 365 updates to match the update text or at least not include the paragraph about it not being possible to deploy via WSUS. It's just not something that needs to be visible in Software Center.

Either that or allow administrators to overwrite the description visible in Software Center for users similar to custom severity. It's not a big thing, but I've had a few people ask about it.

  7. Prioritize all activities in SCCM

It would be useful if the activities in SCCM could be prioritized.
If SCCM is busy installing patches, software updates can not be loaded until all patches are pending.
For urgent software updates, the user must wait until all other activities have been completed. Partly several hours.
Unfortunately, this is very impractical in practice.
Therefore, it would be useful if software updates generally have the highest priority and patches get a lower priority.
If an urgent software update is now pending, the patch installation would have to be interrupted IMMEDIATELY,
then the software update (s) will be uploaded, and if…

  8. Add button to add Automatic Deployment Rule Criteria to a new custom search

Would be nice to create a new custom search from an Automatic Deployment Rule.

Add a button near the "Preview" that will create a new custom search or replace an existing one.

  9. Software Update Group - Force a Restart as soon as the installs are done

It would be great to have an option to force a restart as soon as a software update group deployment is done installing. Currently, as an example, if you set up a deployment to start on a Tuesday with a forced deadline install on Friday and someone kicks off the install on Tuesday and isn't paying attention to the toast notifications, the machine could be in a staged state until the forced restart on Friday. Along with this, if the user isn't paying attention that the updates are done installing, the next time they restart before the deadline restart happens,…

  10. Add vendor description to update search parameter (product)

When you add 3rd party drivers/software/firmware updates to update catalog, you can only filter updates by names that might get confusing when you have multiple vendors. Right now the product for HP is either Firmware/Software/Driver. We can only assume Lenovo, Dell, ... Will have the same and it Will be confusing. HP Driver/HP Software/HP Firmware would make more sence and make filtering easier.

  11. Simplify finding the current month's software updates

Provide a dashboard or view that displays the current month's software updates. Allow for selecting of updates and a button to create a software update group directly. Basically, simplify the process of identifying the updates needed to deploy each month.

  12. ADR add possibility to set a User for "download software updates from a location on my network"

Please add a possibility to specify a user which the ADR will use to download the content.
In a infrastructure with a DMZ and a own untrusted domain, it is not possible to set a user which is downloading the Updates from a WSUS. Till now SCCM is always using the system account of the Site Server to download the Updates.

  13. Configurable Software Update instllation time

With Windows 10 and Server 2016 updates taking longer to install than previous versions of Windows. It would be helpful to be able to be able to set a site wide setting for the default installation time given for software updates. Currently this is 10 minutes but we are having to manually set this to 60 minutes on each update presently.

  14. Get rid of the 100 Category limit for WSUS with third party updates

Not sure why anyone would place a cap on the number of categories for software update with third-party updates but considering SCCM is used for performing updates and plugins can be integrated into the system having a 100 Catagory limit makes no sense

  15. Option to scheulde a mandatory reboot in maintenance window configuration

It would be great as part of configuring a maintenance window for a set of computers we could tick a box that would create a mandatory reboot at the beginning or the end of the window. So that even if there is no software or updates the computer will still get a clean reboot.
