  1. Historical Client Connections - Management Point

It would be great to be able to report on within SQL how many clients in total have connected to a Management Point/s.

The scenario being for example, in a newly configured IBCM environment it would be nice to be able to report on how many clients in total have connected to one of the IBCM enabled MP's, business use being able to report on current uptake.

Currently you can report on LastScan but that is unfortunately only taken as a current snapshot and data would change as clients move back and forth between Internet and Intranet networks.

  2. Compliance tracking per system on a time series. Ideally you could set your aggregation interval, vendor, and update classification.

Would like to have a Table with a Resource ID , timestamp , and compliance %, vendor and Update Classification. The table aggregation interval could be daily or weekly, or follow data warehouse sync. With a capture of system specific data we can build BI reports per system, and aggregate per customer groupings. This would be a win for executive level reporting to show how every month SCCM moves the enterprise to compliant, as compliance percent drops on 2nd Tuesday and move up throughout the month. Detail level data is needed to drive exceptions (read snowflakes) into standard best practices.

  3. Allow Resource Explorer to be opened from a Web Report

Web reports are great but are not very usable to display everything about a computer. You must have access to the Console and open Resource Explorer to see everything. Need a method to open Resource Explorer from a web report that shows a list of computers. This would make it easier to drill down to detailed information about a computer. We had this with previous competing products and it is the feature I miss the most.

  4. Maintenance Window Calendar Overview

Just curious if this could be possible to be implemented using either reporting service or in console but if you could deploy a calendar overview of Maintenance Windows similar to a Gantt chart in which we could see overlapping bars of Maintenance Windows on a timescale in a calendar view along with applicable collections as it's header would be great in terms of planning or discussing changes in a change approval board and/or planning patch management downtime.
The best way would be using reports as that link can be shared with PMO/Decision makers for their review.
    Thanks

  5. SCCM Driver Usage Report

Include a built-in report in the SCCM Console that could provide details about driver use/frequency of use of a particular driver, or for all drivers. This would greatly assist in providing us with visibility into which drivers are still in active use during builds.

  6. Dataware house service point and MBAM compliance information (sccm 1702 and later)

When sccm deletes old computer information (as per the scheduled system maintenace task), compliance information for Bitlocker is also removed for that computer.
Can the datawarehouse servicepoint also copy MBAM compliance to the datawarehouse database (when MBAM is integrated with SCCM).

  7. Source locations for Applications tend to be missing in v_Packages, yet are there Packages

Source locations for Applications tend to be missing in v_Packages, yet are there Packages

When you run a SQL query on v_Packages I find there are empty entries for the source location for the Applications

  8. State messages should be time stamped in the GUI

When I look at the reporting, I'm of course especially interested in the errors.
If there appears to be a structural problem, then a solution is developed and implemented.
However - unless it's a change in the revision of an application - there is no clear way to distinguish between errors from before and after the change.

  9. Include installation date on Update Compliance reports

It would be great to see the date an update was installed. We're asked by auditors to show when updates were installed on a given computer, and I don't have a good way to do that. The Compliance report for a specific computer shows the installation deadline, but not when the update was actually installed.

  10. Add Schedule column to v_servicewindow

With the SQL view vSMS_ServiceWindow, there are a column Schedules. This column allows you to see exactly what day Maintenance Window is scheduled for. The correspond supported SQL view is v_ServiceWindow. However, that column isn’t listed without it being listed there is no way to determine what day an MW applies too.

    Select distinct
    isnull(SWin.Name,'No Maintenance Windows') as 'SWinName',
    isnull(SWin.IsGMT,'') as 'SWinIsGMT',
    SWin.StartTime as 'SWinStartTime',
    isnull(SWin.Duration,0) as 'SWinDuration',
    case
    when isnull(SWin.ServiceWindowType, 0) = 0 then 'No Maintenance Windows'
when SWin.ServiceWindowType=1 then 'All Programs Service Window'
when SWin.ServiceWindowType=2 then 'Program Service Window'
when SWin.ServiceWindowType=3 then 'Reboot Required Service Window'
    when SWin.ServiceWindowType=4…

  11. Add a way to see what servers are core installation

Would be nice to be able to tell within the console, or via a collection which servers are installed as server core, or with desktop experience without jumping through hoops.

  12. Inbuilt report to Determine the size of userprofiles for a Specific collection

We are currently planning on implementing OneDrive in our organization and would like to actually get an estimation of size of a User Profile for our site based collections.

I found couple of websites that actually provided me the idea of how to implement it, but it would be better for organizations if SCCM Can actually provide an Inbuilt report to retrieve the Size of User profile for a specific collection.

  13. Add a report about # of current online clients

ConfigMgr 1810 has a fabulous chart about # of current online clients per on-prem MP/internet MP/CMG within the last 30 days (Monitoring -> Cloud Management --> Online clients (last 30 days)).

This chart is super useful to figure out how many computers are online /day/time.

There should be a report with the same info so you could:
    - export the chart to different formats
    - schedule the report to run every 30 days to get longer trends about client usage

  14. Add columns for created by/date and modified by/date to queries node view

Add date created, date modified and created\modified by columns to the queries node view. Also, enable searching sub-folders from the queries node.

  15. XLSX

When scheduling a report for automatic generation, have the option to generate the file as XLSX instead of just XLS.

  16. Report to output the content of a TS and the descriptions for easy documention

Most places i have worked have wanted the task sequence documented. It would be great if we had a report that would output the task sequence with all the steps and the comments fields.

  17. Allow normal SQL queries instead of WQL

Writing queries requires using WQL which has a very stripped back feature set. Please allow normal SQL queries to be used.

  18. Optimize Report "Software Metering\Computers that have run a specific metered software program"

Software Metering\Computers that have run a specific metered software program

Just add a little quick "Distinct" ResourceID in the sub query of the Dataset 0 could accelerate significantly the execution timing of this report

  19. Seggregating SQL tables/views for SCCM Application and for Admins

1286 tables and 7153 views, makes it an extensive and difficult job for SCCM Admins to create custom reports, as herculean task for finding where needed info exits, sometime data is available in multiple table/views, makes it tough to decide. Do you think it helps to re/design table or views naming structure in such a way that, set of them are meant for SCCM application for internal purposes which we don’t user for reporting purposes, and a second set of them are meant for SCCM Admin for creating report purposes, making the naming convention and data available in later section…

  20. Fix bug in data warehouse report for EndPoint Protection

In the SQL query for the datawarehouse Endpoint report the line in the query "ELSE DATEDIFF(day, AntivirusSignatureUpdateDateTime, @Now) " means that there is never more than 7 days worth of data reported in the report. This is because this line says that anything over 7 days is non-compliant because it compares against @now.

A better comparison is against the date the data was entered i.e. "ELSE DATEDIFF(day, AntivirusSignatureUpdateDateTime, am.LastSyncTime_DW)" - which makes it relative to the Sync data rather than the date the report is run.
