  1. Application deployment reporting - Report to retain data after re-evaluation of collection(s)

application model doesn’t retain the data points as the systems falls out by using a limiting collection or “Not in” logic or have to clear the logic for a failed deployment.

Once the systems fall out of the collection we lose the ability to pull reports on them.

This same method works with the package deployment reports, using a limiting or “not in” logic the data points remains even after the system fall out of the collection.

is there a table that can be create leverage to capture historical data to make a custom report for application deployment for collections…

  2. Start manually a subscription on a report

Add the possibility to start a subscription on a report independently of the schedule (Like Start now from the right click or ribbon menu)

  3. Enable CMPivot to use ONLY SSRS compatible data and Create a Generate Report Option

CMPivot has gotten a lot fo configuration manger admins a long way in not having to learn how to use SQL or generate new reports.

It would be really nice, if there was an option to using CMPivot to convert the CMPivot Query into an SSRS report that could be published so that other users could then access it from the reports website or receive the data on a scheduled basis.

This would also create an easy way for users to generate and share reports with each other by providing the CMPivot query to each other and the steps to…

  4. Modify Custom Reports without Site Modify

The ability to edit reports is based is based on assigned roles. If you create a separate folder for custom reports then you must give the users modify permission on the site so that their accounts are added into the 'ConfigMgr Report Administrators' SSRS role at the root report folder. That's a lotta permission just to edit custom reports. So ideally there'd be an RBA role permission for any report not covered by existing permissions. Really anything that disassociates that ability from modifying sites.

  5. office 365

Show the Office build number as one of the column options in a Device Collection.

Currently you can view the OS version, it'd be of great help to be able to see the Office version at a glance.

  6. Better default reports design

Most of internal reports has quite poor design and usually does not tend to dislike it. They look like ConfigMgr legacy: 8 years lag.

Why don't we use a team of designers just to make them look modern and stylish?

Sometimes I find better to use pre-created custom reports for the demos...

  7. Add a report about # of current online clients

ConfigMgr 1810 has a fabulous chart about # of current online clients per on-prem MP/internet MP/CMG within the last 30 days (Monitoring -> Cloud Management --> Online clients (last 30 days)).

This chart is super useful to figure out how many computers are online /day/time.

There should be a report with the same info so you could:
    - export the chart to different formats
    - schedule the report to run every 30 days to get longer trends about client usage

  8. Log for Modficiations to Collections, Software Update Groups, Deployments, etc.

Would be nice to have a log file that shows who made changes to collections, software update groups, deployments, etc. Currently we have dozens of individuals that have access to the SCCM console across our environment. Tracking down who made changes has been very challenging.

  9. Add Build01 to v_r_system_valid to display the OS Build number

Currently you can find the Windows 10 build number in vrsystem, but not vrsystem_valid. As most reports are only looking for valid clients, it would be beneficial to be able to query the Windows 10 build version without joining to another view.

  10. Copy Query

In the Reports area, there is a query area. It would be nice if we could copy a query. We have not found a good way of doing this.

  11. Report Subscription Schedule Offset in days/weeks

It would be really great if when configuring a Report Subscription Schedule you could configure it to run based on the number of days / weeks since "patch Tuesday" (especially in countries other than the USA where "patch Tuesday" is actually a Wednesday and not necessarily the second Wednesday of each month).
It takes some time (hours/days) to receive the updates compliance data from all clients after the MS patches release and WSUS sync, so this feature is really important for Path Management Compliance reporting.
I believe there are a lot of ways to customize the reporting process including another…

  12. relative time options for scheduled reports

if you plan a report, e.g. "Antimalware overall status and history", to run every 1st day each month for example, you can only enter fixed dates for the report.
There should be relative options like "first day of previous month" (see SCOM for good examples)

  13. Dataware house service point and MBAM compliance information (sccm 1702 and later)

When sccm deletes old computer information (as per the scheduled system maintenace task), compliance information for Bitlocker is also removed for that computer.
Can the datawarehouse servicepoint also copy MBAM compliance to the datawarehouse database (when MBAM is integrated with SCCM).

  14. Access user/computer focussed reports from the device/user collections

If I right click on a computer in a collection there are many contextual items on the menu. It would be useful for us to be able to launch the 'compliance 5 - specific computer' report for that computer directly from the menu. there are other device centric reports focussed on the hostname that could be easily accessible.
Possibly access the report from the same area as the 'primary user' link in the summary pane.

  15. Client Data Sources Data - Timestamps

Basically, in order to create better reports on things like content download performance etc – we need more accurate time stats so:

    1. Currently the time reported appears in the DB as - 2017-11-08 00:00:00.000 – so if effect we only get the date, although I see on the client that the actual correct start time is there in the CTM WMI class, so would it be possible to report this?

    2. What would be really great (if number 1 is possible) is if you could also report the ‘End Time’ for a download. This would facilitate reports detailing download times and…

  16. report broke in v1710

v1710 issues with report "Hardware - Disk/Computers with low free disk space (less than specified MB free). Report name needs to reflect GB not MB. Which was changed in v1710

    Inventory default unit revision
As devices now include hard drives with sizes in the gigabyte (GB), terabyte (TB) and larger scales, this release changes the default unit (SMSUnits) used in many views from megabytes (MB) to GB. For example, the vgs_LogicalDisk.FreeSpace value now reports GB units.

  18. Unable to pull Microsoft SQL Server 2014 & 2016 Edition report i.e. Standard, Enterprise, Express or Datacentre

I noticed SCCM is not able to pull Microsoft SQL Server 2014 & 2016 Edition report i.e. Standard, Enterprise, Express or Datacentre.

This I have checked with multiple customers environment & in multiple SCCM version. Its very strange that Microsoft SCCM not able to pull Microsoft product inventory properly.

  19. Maintenance Window Calendar Overview

Just curious if this could be possible to be implemented using either reporting service or in console but if you could deploy a calendar overview of Maintenance Windows similar to a Gantt chart in which we could see overlapping bars of Maintenance Windows on a timescale in a calendar view along with applicable collections as it's header would be great in terms of planning or discussing changes in a change approval board and/or planning patch management downtime.
The best way would be using reports as that link can be shared with PMO/Decision makers for their review.
    Thanks

  20. Duplicate or Copy Report Subscriptions

It would be a great feature to have the ability to copy or duplicate a report subscription. Often we have to create a new report subscription that matches an existing subscription (for updates compliance) before we are done using the existing subscription.

Being able to copy a subscription will save a lot of work if the description, notes, schedule are all the same. All you have to do is change the update group in the parameters.
