  1. Run Scripts - Show Status

It would be nice if there was a way to go directly to Script Status from the Scripts tab in the console (Software Library\Overview\Scripts). Currently you have to go to the monitoring tab, then click on Script Status, then locate the script deployment.

Ironically you can get directly to the Scripts tab from Script Status by clicking on the Scripts shortcut under Related Objects. So something similar to this method except from the Scripts section would be nice.

    OR

Display the Script Status below the currently highlighted script?

I threw together an example of what it could look like.

  2. Show the User Account on Console

Would like to see the User account details which is used to open the CM console.
It would be really helpful if we open multiple consoles with using different IDs.

  3. Rename folder - re-order list needed

After renaming a folder under Applications/Packages and probably elsewhere too, the folders don't re-order themselves until you quit and restart the Configuration Manager (ConfigMgr) Console.

Would like the folders to simply re-sort themselves alphabetically after renaming a folder.

  4. A select all and deselect all when setting security scopes

We have over 200 security scopes. Some things, like ADRs, run and create the software update group with all security scopes assigned to that software update group and we have to manually uncheck every single security scope except the one we would like associated with the SUG. A select all and deselect all would speed this process up for us

  7. AD Organizational Unit Column in Console

Add the Active Directory OU as a column option in the console. Really, any info that shows in the properties of a device should be an option to add as a column.

  8. Consistent behaviour throughout the console windows

In Use Collections, Device Collections and Packages nodes one can press any keyboard key to jump to the specific letter in the list.
In Applications this is not possible, nor in for instance Asset Intelligence\Inventoried Software.

Would be nice if the key press behaviour was consistent throughout the console panes.

  9. Option to change Green: Good; Red: Bad colour scheme for very common RG colour blindness

There needs to be an option to change the status colour scheme because Green: Good, Red: Bad can be a problem if you're Red-Green colour blind, which is a common form of colour blindness affecting 1 in 12 men and 1 in 200 women.

  11. When entering NEW IP Subnet convert them to IP Range

Since you need to enter the subnet mask when entering an IP Subnet, it would make sense to convert these to IP Ranges. Then add the subnet details to the description. The major benefit of this is to allow for better boundary reporting. Using the table BoundaryEx which listed the NumbaricValueLow and NumericValueHigh value you can easily determine if a client belong to that IP Range. This is done by using the fnGetNumericIPAddress function.

  12. Window buttons disappear after waking from sleep

Strangely, the window buttons (minimize, maximize, close) disappear after my computer wakes from sleep. They're still there, but just become invisible.

  13. Add size column to application deployment types

It would be useful if in the console each application deployment type had its own "Size" column, and maybe the application itself could have a "total size" column of all the deployment types combined.

  14. Add "Software Updates Scan Cycle" to the Client Notification Menu

I'm not sure whether the "Evaluate Software Update Deployments" Client Notificaction runs a previous scan cycle.
I implemented a Powershell script to do that but I strongly think that it should appear as a Client Notification in the same way it appears in the "Config Manager" Control Panel at the client computers.

  15. When creating NEW AD Boundaries

Since SCCM is reading the AD site, it would make sense that you read each subnet too. Then create a boundary group based on the AD site name and convert all of the AD subnets to IP Ranges and add those IP Ranges to the Boundary group.

The major benefit of this is to allow for better Boundary reporting. Using the table BoundaryEx which listed the NumbaricValueLow and NumericValueHigh value you can easily determine if a client belongs to that IP Range. This is done by using the fnGetNumericIPAddress function.

  16. Display Security Scopes and Collections columns by default under Administrative Users

Many organizations struggle a lot with the concepts in Role Based Administration. One of the things I see that helps them immensely to see how they've misapplied security is to simply turn on the Scopes and Collections column views under Administrative Users. While the Roles are shown by default, without the Scopes and Collections, there isn't enough context for them to understand what is actually set up.

Please display the Security Scopes and Collections columns by default under the Administrative Users view in the ConfigMgr console. This will help people understand RBA at a glance much more easily.

    Thanks forā€¦

  17. Allow Boolean Parameter Types in RunScripts

The addition of Parameters to Scripts was a welcome feature however it'd be nice to also support the boolean parameter type. While other parameter types (arrays, switch, etc.) would be helpful, I feel that most of them could be reproduced (smartly) by using String, or Boolean for most situations.

  18. Button to Temporarily Disable SCEP

It would be great for both devices and collections to be able to right-click or click a button in the ribbon to temporarily disable SCEP. Many times do we have a piece of software that requires A/V to be disabled to install. We have a collection that disables SCEP, so we move the machine to that collection, and then move it back later, but sometimes you don't get the all clear, or you just get busy. If you could click a button to either disable, or temporarily disable immediately, that would be amazing. I have used other A/V products thatā€¦

  19. Extensions for Windows Intune

It should be possible that extensions for Windows Intune can be installed without adminrights while opening the Admin Console after the Extension is activated.
