Searching in Software Updates filter by OS of Client Needing Update
When doing a search in Software Updates, when filtering the search it would be excellent if one of the filter criteria were the ability to filter by the OS of the Client needing an update. I'm NOT speaking of the free text search of the OS'es the patch applies to, but rather the ability to look at the OS of the machines that need the patch and filter out the machines which are an OS we do not patch with SCCM. We only patch Client Os here and not servers Via SCCM. Therefore I'd like to be able to drop all SCCM clients running on server OS'es from the results.
We need to be able to filter by OS required as well but in ADR so we can build two SUG easily instead of manually filtering out updates required by Windows Clients and vice versa. We need to be able to automate SOU creation via ADR otherwise the task in onerous and we only want the updates download to the SUG that are applicable to servers or clients in specified Collection/s.

Eg if we have an office patch, we need to get 'required' instances where it only applies to windows 7 and not to the windows 8, 10 PCs. We need to know which machine /OS types a particular patch is 'required' on so we don't deploy unneeded patches to machines of a particular OS.

We need to separate patches required for Window 7 and windows 10. We need to differentiate updates that are only needed for our windows 7 based computers and only needed for our Windows 10 based computers. We want to do this through the search/filters in the Softare Updates list. Our server team is starting to use SCCM, like Bill, and needs also to filter updates by target OS. We will create different Software Update groups for each and need to put only the right updates in each group.
