Make it easier to get Hardware and Software Inventory
It should be much easier for getting inventory of hardware and software. There are so many good inventory tools out there and SCCM just fail on that part.

Even though its not an official SCCM component, Roger Zander has made a pretty great WMI Provider for Monitor information. Download, deploy, and add the new WMI class to your hardware inventory.

My idea would be for the SCCM team to create a report that collects the monitors installed on the PCs. The report would contain: PC name, last user logged on, last date when somebody logged on, Diagonal Size, Current Resolution, Max Supported Resolution, Monitor Manufacturer, Model, S/N of monitor, Date of manufacture.
Location of report would be : Monitoring --> Reporting --> Reports --> Hardware - Monitors or create the report under the Hardware - Video Card.
Currently there is no such report.......
Please Microsoft SCCM team, make our lives easier :)

Marius - Can you share more details? Are you asking for an easier way to trigger an inventory scan (like we have now with client notifications) or with viewing the data (like through resource explorer and reporting)?
