SCCM Report - Easy way to create Report & Dashboard
Not really easy to create some SCCM report or Dashboard if your're not a SQL DBA .. even with Report Builder.
Could be awesome to have a new tool where Reports or Dashbaord could be created easily whithout searching which SQL views I need ..ect ... Like some others concurrent application give.
Tempted to mark this completed, now that we’ve released full blown powerBI integration:
Building reports & dashboards doesn’t get much easier than that.

If you write your own views with SQL and use that query to build your own the Report Builder, great but it's not that easy. I guess that main issue here the lack of knowledge about the db schema (which tables to use). I think there is a huge area for improvements in this module. Adding wizards to the console to build your own report that would be a great plus. Sometimes our managers just want click and have the information they are looking for! Note that not all ConfigMgr console users know SQL and SCCM... :)

You could try something like this using power BI

Having an Endpoint dashboard that could auto refresh, show useful customized information would be very nice to see and is one of the biggest sore points other IT personnel have with SCCM that I hear about.
The SCCM 2007 method of creating new and modifying existing reports was way easier to accomplish. The move to 2012 did me no favors. I was unable to re-create my custom made reports, and I simply don't have the time to learn the new way of creating new reports. We've even kicked around the idea of using Crystal Reports to drill into the tables and generate reports that way.

Microsoft purchased DataZen ... Maybe they should move to this platform for reporting ? It's easer to use than reporting services

Query collection rules are built using WMI queries... these don't translate well to SQL queries. Use the report query builder and get familiar with views.

I would like to be able to build simple reports using the same interface used to create collection query membership rules.
