Windows Application Packager (WinGet) Integration
I would like configmgr to integrate with winget.
Please allow me to simply tell winget to install/uninstall an application and allow sccm to monitor the result codes. Provide winget as a part of the sccm client install. Reduce my work effort to deploy applications!
This should be a native deployment type as well. Let sccm ingest all the possible applications winget supports!
Allow application content to be stored via Microsoft Connected Cache!

and make a DP as my internal source repository, and let us handle the public (consumer) repository, that we can import those Applications to our own repository and use it from there. The installation from a Application trough the CM environment should use download directly without the CM integration, also let the Cache be the same as CM has already "CCMcache" also with the options as persist in cache and also clean/delete old Packages, there was also some UV for a similar approach from the past:

I look at this less as integrate 'winget the application' but rather integrate/consume the metadata that backs winget which is a trusted, Microsoft-backed application metadata repository.
If Microsoft is finally going to put in the effort to building and maintaining such a thing then let MEMCM consume it to create new applications and update existing ones.
