Enable DA without the need of SCCM
The pro of Windows Analytics was that you can configure it in every environment without the need to have SCCM or Intune configured.
Please re enable this way of deployment, also if it's limited to Read-only insights or some features.

I'm providing my customer an Intune Autopilot Solution as a transition away from their current deployment tool (Kace) they do not or intend to use ConfigMgr, however they would really like to utilise Desktop Analytics.
If this is in progress can you provide an indicative timeline of when this capability can be expected for native Intune clients CY20 or CY21?
This feature is something that has helped our organization facilitate the regular Channel releases and will now cause us more work without it. We would really appreciate being able to use this feature without having to use SCCM or Intune.

@Ronny de Jong - unfortunately that is not correct ... from the FAQ:
How long do I have to migrate my data?
Windows Analytics Upgrade Readiness solution is being retired on January 31st, 2020. After retirement, based on the Log Analytics workspace retention policy, data will go away over time.
It isn't explicit about what the situation is with Device Health in WA.
We need Desktop Analytics for Intune-only environments...

I agree that the stated inability to onboard new customers into Upgrade Readiness without SCCM will seriously hamper and even prevent some organizations from making the move to Intune only management of Windows 10. I'll also say that there is a significant need for enhanced desktop inventory reporting as a whole for Intune-Only Windows 10 deployments. I was hoping Desktop Analytics was Microsoft's first step in that direction before seeing the SCCM requirement.

Please be aware Windows Analytics remain available for current deployments, so no business impact or services will be broken.
"On January 31, 2020 Windows Analytics will retire in favor of Desktop Analytics. New customers will no longer be able to onboard to the Upgrade Readiness and Device Health solutions once Desktop Analytics becomes generally available. However, Update Compliance will remain available via the Azure portal."

If Microsoft stop WA before the Intune version of DA is available they are going to break operational processes in at least 3 enterprise customers (one is 40% of the way through rolling out ~100K Windows 10 devices managed by Intune) where they are using the Upgrade Readiness data to provide guidance and sign-posts for applications and drivers that need attention and Client Health for tracking poorly performing drivers and Windows Information Protection events.
From my perspective, you can't discontinue Windows Analytics while an Intune-only version of Desktop Analytics is not yet available.

Desktop analytics need ConfigMgr and we cannot use DA by standalone. Desktop Analytics is a successor of Windows Analytics and there is customer want to use DA instead of WA. We want it is supported to use DA standalone.
