Office 365 required updates in 1710 Should Not Force Applications to Close
Please do not force applications closed when applying office 365 updates. We have had to suspend the deployment of office 365 updates due to user impact until we can work this out. This same topic was marked as complete in the feedback section but it is still happening with SCCM 1710 and KBKB4057517 Installed.
Also I have not seen any user presented countdowns when the deadline approaches. Thanks.

I'm still seeing force closing of O365 apps when updates go mandatory, even with hotfix KB4086143 installed and client upgraded to 5.00.8577.1115
Any one else?
This is just embarrassing - Right in the middle of a Skype4Business call I lost contact and had no recourse but to await the return of the application after patching. Unnacceptable!

would appreciate if this is fixed really soon, it's getting extremely hard to be compliant with O365 updates when its force closing apps. Can't sell this to managers :(

Restarting the pc while working in 2 Word documents and 1 PowerPoint document was quite a rude "welcome" to Windows 10 (partner)!

This is a huge issue for users working on documents and files when receiving an update. Hours of work have been lost!
