Allow Software Center Link to open in other browsers
Currently the "softwarecenter:" links to apps in Software Center only open in Internet Explorer.
Ideally this should work in all browsers, but at least Edge.

Assuming it must be the same for all links, we just configured Desktop analytics and the "View Troubleshooting guide" in the "Connection Health" section link in the console opens in IE. weird. no votes left, but verbal vote from me.
It is not just software center. I opened a link in MECM console and it opened IE 11 which then gives me a message "Effective March 31, 2021, the Azure portal will no longer support Internet Explorer 11. Start using the new Microsoft Edge for speed, security and privacy" Seriously?
Come on Microsoft, you can't push Edge so hard and still have MECM trying to open IE 11. This is not a hard fix. Let MECM open the link with the desktop's preferred browser.

if you can script the page, you can call edge by adding microsoft-edge: before the link to open it in edge :)

This would be incredibly useful to provide a browser-based redirect from an Enterprise Service Management platform such as BMC Helix (Remedy) or Service Now or a company Intranet. Instead of building in a bunch of automation, it simply redirects to Software Center allowing users to easily find it (if they aren't already familiar with Software Center). With MOST people using Chromium-based browsers, the current URL doesn't work (IE only) in them.
Also have same issue with TopDesk. We are including links to forms in Software Center, which is really nice feature, but get these same script errors. Software Center should open in the computers default browser
I think the software center build in ie11 browser does not use the advanced settings of internet explorer correctly.
Do not show script errors is ON and in IE 11 the script error isn't shown but in software center it is.
Why is the software center browser based on internet explorer 11? Not Edge? We have got issues with topdesk in software center. I allready send feedback about this.
Topdesk want us to use edge as prefered browser, but we want to use the software center add website option for topdesk self service portal. But now we have got issues because software cneter uses ie 11.
It would be a good idea to make a option in software center settings how the url is opened. So we can set open within software center or open with installed default brower desktop.
