Application Deployment Evaluation cycle (Automatically re-evaluate on required reboot)
When staging an upgrade of a product using supersedence where an uninstall of the previous product is required, followed by a reboot (3010), before initiating the install of the new product I have found that the Application Model is not evaluating quick enough.
I have observed that the superseded product's uninstallation has occurred, signaled a 3010 exit code, and the client's Restart Behavior schedules a reboot as expected. Even though a 3010 is indicated in Software Center, the Superseding deployment type attempts to run and fails due to a pending reboot. Once the pending reboot is satisfied by the Client Restart behavior, an Application Deployment Evaluation Cycle must now occur before the Superseding deployment type will attempt to install.
Could the "If any update in this deployment requires a system restart, run updates deployment evaluation cycle" feature be made available for Application Model deployments as well, to force a re-evaluation on next startup?
