Allow optional software (via software center) to work over SCCM CMG
CMG is a good solution for internet managed clients, except software center and optional software don't yet work for it. These should also seamlessly work.

I would like optional software (via software center) to work over SCCM's IBCM (don't want to have CMG)

With 1802 the current software center that works through IBCM becomes unsupported. But the new software center does not work through IBCM. The supported solution is new software center through CMG. My understanding the CMG requires the workstations to be Azure joined to be able to browse available applications. But our workstations are not Azure joined.
Can the new software center be configured to work through IBCM? -

Any update on this? We are looking at CMG but we do not have our workstations azure joined so not an option for us to use CMG over the internet for user application installs through catalog correct?

Also is it planned to support OSD Bare Metal Task sequence from CloudProxy Service?

We know this limitation, and will address it. Rather than waiting until CloudProxy was perfect, we wanted to start shipping early previews of it... so we could start the conversation / feedback.
Currently, does not have user auth - so can't do things requiring user auth (like App Cat). We will fix this in the future.

The CloudProxy service only supports the management point, distribution point, and software update point roles. We currently use Application Catalog role over IBCM to offer adhoc installation of applications. This is a blocker for us to adopt this new 1606 feature and replace our IBCM infrastructure.
