Countdown timer before closing executable
For the new feature in 1702 ("Check for running executable files before installing an application"), add a countdown timer pop-up above the system tray, like the countdown for restart, but in this case to allow the user to save any unsaved work before the specified executables get automatically closed.

Great, another idea I was about to post and some got to it. Really need this to help us move away from PSADT

Actually, when you configure a required deployment with the option to Automatically close any running executables you specified on the Install Behavior tab, there will be a notification to the users that EXE will be closed before the deadline is reached, but after, the EXE get closed abruptly without leaving a chance to the user to save its work. This behavior occurs even if the deployment is set to show all notifications. The countdown timer is important here, or at least, it could be a final prompt and EXE get closed as soon as user click OK. We tried using this feature on required deployments, but we had to fallback due to user complains. Many of them are mobile users who can be offline for long period of times and receive deployments after deadline. That prompt would cover this case.

Yes it would be great.

This would be great. We want to use required deployments, but we can't just start closing apps on people without giving users a chance to save their work.
We were really excited for this feature until we realized that there was no user interaction available for required deployments. While an appreciated feature, it's of limited value without these options.
