Create "sysprep" for SCCM agent
Microsoft does not officially support the installation of the SCCM agent on template/image operating system. I need an officially supported process to create an instance from an image and have the SCCM agent work correctly with any site.
Chad, I believe Ray's idea is about cloning a Hyper-V/VMWare template. Imagine the situation where you have a gold image for server and just deploy from that (Rather than deploy a OS via a task sequence). In VMWare, you'd be getting your new server in about 30 seconds rather than 30 minutes via the task sequence.
Currently this will create duplicate GUIDs in SCCM.

Client installation during Computer Imaging was supported in ConfigMgr 1606 and prior versions as documented at https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg712298.aspx#How%20to%20Install%20Configuration%20Manager%20Clients%20by%20Using%20Computer%20Imaging
It was removed in Current Branch (Technical Preview v1608 https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sccm/core/get-started/capabilities-in-technical-preview-1608) as the Task Sequence now completely removes the ConfigMgr client.
