Add functionality to run scripts before and after software updates install
We need to be able to run either a VB or Powershell script before and after software updates install. Our example is so that we can put our monitoring system in outage mode and send emails to the support teams.
The 'Server Groups' pre-release feature has something similar, but does not currently work (it crashes Software Center when it runs).

It's handy for Windows 10 updates as well, because today we ran in an issue we want to update to version 2004, but we have to rename the built-in administrator account back to it's original name. Otherwise the update goes wrong.
See this article for that.

This appears to be addressed as part of the pre-release feature "Server Groups" which allows you to specify a "Node Drain" and a "Node Resume" PowerShell script. Adaptiva has a good write-up, including current gothcas: https://insights.adaptiva.com/2018/configmgr-server-group-patching/
