Details pane for users and devices should show collection memberships
In devices screen, when we select a computer, all collections the computer is member of, should be listed in the below pane.
Also, this feature should be available for users in users screen

Simple way to see if and when a device has joined a collection. Helpful when trying to trace which part of a collection hierarchy it is missing for a limiting collection.

on 1906 there's a new tab in 'Devices' for that

Admin note: updated title for clarity

Tab for collection Membership in device properties will be time saving .
It is painful to check the membership of the device. -

This would be awsome, i currently have a homemade tab for collections which does this. It only checks what collections the current collection is a member of and traverse down until its done. Since we deploy applications on device collections this is a very useful feature!

I would like to see a tab next to "General" "Deployments" and "Variables" called "Collections" that lists all the collections that a device is part of.
It would be great if that is also implemented for Users.

It'd be nice to be able to tell which Device Collections a device belongs to under a tab when the device is clicked on.

I would also appreciate that. I can imagine a Tab in the properties of the Resource (User or Computer) where all direct Memberships in Collections are listed. This could also allow adding or removing them. Maybe evan a "Remove" all button.

Agreed. This would be an excellent feature add for all objects (Devices, Users, User Groups). In addition, if you could remove the object from the collections from that tab, it would make management much easier when working in the console.

on the admin console, when selecting a device, add a new tab on the preview showing what collections the device/user is member of, like the client check detail, malware detail, etc

A computer can be member of many collections and when we want to remove the computer from all existing collections, this is not possible from one screen/menu
When in the 'Assets and Compliance\Devices' menu, after selecting a computer, there should be an option\menu which shows the collections the computer is member of.

Also, you're welcome to use my glorious, MS Paint design of this feature, if you'd like ;-)

Add a list of the Computer or User collections to the 'Summary' pane, under Assets And Compliance \ Devices or Users.
Every time I install SCCM for a customer, I'm asked 'how do I see collections for a device or user'. I don't want to have to tell them to install third party tools, or to run a report, or the other kind of bad solutions we have today.

Instead of having to open the properties of a collection to view Membership Rules, we can view within the tabs. When you highlight a collection, you can view the collection membership rules (Query Based Rule and include/exclude collections) on the tabs below next to Summary, Deployments, Custom Client Settings.

Built in SCCM tools to show what collections a machine is in, connect to the root of C:\ etc. Basically like the 3rd party tools that are out there.
