Cloud DP Option for Internet based Clients
At the Moment Internet Based Clients cannot use Cloud DPs as Content Location as documented here:
"Clients on the Internet that receive both an Internet-based distribution point and a cloud-based distribution point as content locations for a deployment, only attempt to retrieve content from the Internet-based distribution point. If the client on the Internet fails to retrieve content from the Internet-based distribution point, the client does not then attempt to access the cloud-based distribution point. "
It would be nice to have an Option that Internet Based Clients (configured in an IBCM or Cloud Proxy Service Scenario) can get their Content from Cloud DP first and then the Internet Based DP as a Fallback Option.
For me a cloud MP without pxe, in combination with a full cloud DP (https://configurationmanager.uservoice.com/forums/300492-ideas/suggestions/13092234-make-cloud-distribution-point-fully-functional) would give great IBCM support. Some of my customers already asking for such feature.
It would be nice to have the funcionallity of a MP directly from the Azure cloud. In combination with something like a PXE Relaying to the cloud DP, it would be possible to support branch offices without putting infrastructure in place and without having VPNs between the locations.
