Software Center icon on desktop
I would love the ability to put the Software Center icon on the desktop instead of burying it in the Start menu. That way my users have a quick and easy way to get to it. Maybe there's already a way to do it?
Thanks for the feedback. In current branch, if you are creating a short cut to software center you should use the ‘softwarecenter:’ protocol instead of linking directly to the exe. This would be the preferred/supported way to ensure that your shortcut continued to work over time.

New = %windir%\ccm\clientux\scclient.exe
Create: New, Shortcut, in "Type Location of the Item" add: <softwarecenter:> Name Shortcut click Finish. Tada!

Create a link like this
C:\Windows\CCM\SCClient.exe just starts the old Software Center. Is there a argument to start it with the new software center?

Use group policy shortcuts policy to put it onto the desktop?
