Filter discovery based on AD Attributes
Add the option to filter out objects based on attributes.
where "Operating System Name" -notlike "%2003" and"Operating System Name" -notlike "%5.1" and -notlike "%OSX%"
where "Description" -notlike "%Physical%"
Where "OrganizationalUnit" -ne "OU=Disabled Objects,DC=contoso,DC=com"
it might delay the scan for each object and cause the discovery to take more time, but on the other hand make it more useful and stop discovering unwanted objects to the DB
Under Active Directory System allow the option to exclude server OS. We have a large AD structure and many domains. The servers are not all in the same OUs.
Many organizations have infrastructure supporting only servers or only workstations. Filtering would be useful. Needs to be enforced on both system discovery and group discovery.

I only want to see machines in the All Systems collection that I can manage. I only manage windows operating systems. Or this option is a very good approach too. It would be great to have the functionality from the requirements section of a package built into the AD System Discovery section as a new tab. Then in the new tab you could select from a list or put in what operating systems you want to manage. this would really help because I only want to see machines in the console that sccm is responsible for managing. This also helps when figuring out what machines don't have the sccm client, the delta of the All Systems and the All Desktop and Server Clients would be my problem systems.
