Fix 'CI Version Info Timed Out' error
My applications are successfully installing on client devices however the Console is showing an error for the deployment in the monitoring section. The only description of the error is 'CI Version Info Timed Out'. I have tried all the workarounds found online.
- Deleting and recreating a package to reset the revision number
- Deleting deployment and recreating deployment
- Updating collection and redistributing content
Nothing works permanently the errors come right back
PS Paul's fix did seem to work. I also ran gather machine data and deployment evaluation cycles.
Otherwise, this is only happening on CB with a new golden image I built and captured through OSD task sequence, and used to image some systems a few times that were already in SCCM / had resource IDs due to using them to image several times. Didn't check on unknown computers. Perhaps MS can update on the status

Have you tied stopping the ccmexec service, deleting ccmstore.sdf and then restarting the ccmexec service? This should initiate a repair and resolve any issues. I know this was the case with the CI Document Download Error and I beleive this also resolved the CI Version Info issue.
The problem exists in the version sccm cb 1906

Sill an issue in 1806 with Hotfix (KB4465865) and Hotfix Rollup (KB4462978) installed.
This is still an issue also in 1806
