Download only the latest Branch \ upgrade of ConfigMgr
both in online and offline modes of the Service Connection Point, when installing 1511 and then get the updates, ConfigMgr downloads 1602, 1602 hotfixes and 1606 EasySetups (and all of their prerequisites) when in 99% of the cases - we only need the latest release.
this causes a lot of time waiting and bandwidth usage for nothing and it will probably get worse as there will be more future release.
we want an option to choose what release to download instead of download them all
This is fixed in ConfigMgr 1702. Beginning with that build, it will more intelligently only download newest updates. It will also do a better job of cleaning up old updates.

How can this be completed when my 1702 build has 17GB of EasySetupPayload files and 11.6GB of CMU staging files? How can I safely delete them?
My storage is filling with unwanted files which now means that I have space issues identified in the pre-req check for 1710

If you are in online mode, ConfigMgr should automatically download only the latest "full" release & patches after that. There could be an option to manually download older version if you cannot for some strange reason install the latest release.
