Software Center: Show only available Software (Hide already installed req. Software)
New Software Center: show only available Software which the user actually can install/uninstall (hide already installed req. Software, which is installed as System)

This is now available in the 1802 release documented here https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sccm/core/plan-design/changes/whats-new-in-version-1802. Thanks for the feedback.

If it is a question of resources I would see the 'Available' tab being created and made default as the top priority.

The Software Center, when used as an on-demand/self-service portal with available software, can become quite cluttered. As the new Software Center already has the "All" and "Required" filter headings, it would be nice to expand these for better management, for example:
a) Add an "Available" option, and make this the default. After all, aside from when you have requires software/updates to do, the Software Center is often used for available software, so make that the default. This is already another UserVoice, so feel free to vote for that separately at: https://configurationmanager.uservoice.com/forums/300492-ideas/suggestions/13185639-display-applications-that-are-available-but-not-i
b) Add the ability to (un)hide available software from the list, and support this with another "Hidden" filter option. That way, if you have a large number of available software items, and they aren't installed (and thereby filtered with the above option), you can choose to hide them if you don't intend to use them.
As such, I propose that the top filter options be:
Available | Required | Hidden | All
This, combined with the existing UserVoice suggestions for a "list mode" and the in-development "checkboxes" (for multiple selections), would be a real usability improvement.

This is an absolute must-have. We deploy a lot of applications as available, and our users use the Software Center as an on-demand/self-service portal; which allows them to install software for a specific task, then choose to uninstall it if they are worried about storage space, with the option to get it again if they want to. With this, the "Available Applications" list is already very large... but as it is ALSO showing the applications that are already installed, its extremely cluttered.
As the new Software Center has headings we can choose, and we already have an "All" and "Required", it would be nice to:
a) Add an "Available" option, and make this the default.
b) Add the ability to hide available software (that you don't want). Then...
c) Add a "Hidden" option to the top bar. Allow users to un-hide software from here.
As such, it should probably be: Available | Required | Hidden | All
This, combined with the existing UserVoice suggestions for a "list mode" and the in-development "checkboxes" (for multiple selections), would be a real usability improvement.

Hiding required deployments can be accomplished by changing the notification settings on the deployment. To hide the required deployment, set the notification for the deployment to not display in Software Center.
If you want a way to filter on software that is available but not installed, I created a uservoice entry asking for that specific functionality...

It would be helpful to have a view or a way to filter applications that are deployed as Available to a machine, but not yet installed in the new version of Software Center (1511+). This was available in the old version of Software Center (pre 1511) by looking at the “Available Applications” tab in Software Center.
In the new version of Software Center, the “Available Applications” tab has been replaced with the “Applications” tab. The Applications tab in the new version of Software Center displays ALL applications that are deployed to a device, regardless of the installation state. This can make it difficult for a user to identify what applications are available to install when they receive the “New software is available” notification.
The only way that you can view applications that are available and not installed in the new Software Center is to perform a search using the word “Available” in the Software Center search box. Using this method to identify applications that are available, but not installed, is not very intuitive for end-users.
