CMTrace needs multiple highlight rules, and highlighting shortcut.
Give more options in CMTrace for highlighting.

It's not perfect but it works

Please take a look at the log viewer that's a part of Support Center. This supports multiple highlight rules as well as saving these rules into a file for future use.

We are actively working on improving Support Center and its log viewing experience.

CMTrace as part of the Client, was thinking of that only the other day Mr Ratcliff, very rad, nice shout :-)
Parameters for merging for CMTrace most welcome, we can already pass multiple to open inside single CMTrace, but not as merged.
Love the idea of multiple highlight strings.

Use the log viewer from System Center 2012 Configuration Manager Support Center. The toolkit should be updated to use it.

Would love to be able to customize multiple highlighting rules. Furthermore, we should have a shortcut for highlight, and filter. I propose Ctrl+H be switched to controlling highlighting, while CTLT+I be made for filter.

Another request I saw on twitter... parameters for merging logs.

Great idea! And another default color for Highlight (different from warning).
