Option for the Client Cache to be "purged" on a schedule. This helps keep systems clean and rid of unwanted files.

Option to set a command to clear the local cache older than a specific date on a computer or collection.

I am in full agreement, We have clients with small SSDs filling up unnecessarily due to multiple users logging on, which combined with ccmcache (this needs to be 40GB in size due to certain software requirements). We manage the user profiles reasonably well, but we like to minimise logon times in our domain by not clearing the regularly used profiles. Automation of CCMCache clearing would be a really big help!

We have a setting to expire Superseded updates after X days. Clients need auto remove cache files that are expired? Patches, Defender def cleanup. When they update policy and software update scan, the machine knows the update is expired, it cannot install, clean this from the SCCM Cache,

Something in Client Settings to enable cache cleanup after x number of days. Currently using Configuration Baseline with a script to do so.

I found a baseline for cleaning the cache - http://www.scconfigmgr.com/2017/02/21/sccm-client-cache-maintenance-configuration-baseline/

How about when an install needs more space in the cache it cleans the cache then. When a new machine is setup many software titles are installed an the cache runs out of space even thou 99% of the cache is marked as can be deleted. (Adobe Products are a problem here as well ... Creative Suite)

I would like this see an option on the deployment that would allow me to set the content as allowed to be removed if needed.

A scheduled option to purge cache data after x days unless the "persist data" option is enabled would be very welcomed. There is no need for Endpoint Definition updates from 2 months ago to still be sitting on end-user systems so an official method for purging these other than using "unsupported" scripting methods would be welcomed. We have cases when client caches need to be set at >20GB, mostly due to bloated Adobe products and being able to auto-expire this content would be useful.

In larger environment managing 1Lac and above clients, we are facing error while deploying Windows patches or packages " There is not enough space on the disk" (2% of machines) even we have increase Cache size. When we look into the cache it hold data for last 5 month which not at all required. Currently we are using DCM to cleanup things. But we are looking some client setting option where we can set hold X days of packages in cache..

Would like the ability to select a date range in client settings to automatically purge client ccmcache files as well as Endpoint protection/Defender old definition updates. This process should be automated possibly run with ccmeval or the client health tasks. Would prefer not to have to use a third party solution or script.

If MS Config Manager Product team can include a new feature of automatically deleting patches and packages from CCM cache folder, after it is being used / after installation it would save a lot of space and we don't need to push a separate script to clear the cache.
