Web Application - add icon from application catalog to icon on start menu
When you deploy a Web App, the link created on the start menu appears with the standard IE icon. Could the icon that is displayed with the Web app in the application also be applied to the shortcut on the start menu?
currently I have six webapps in my start menu all with the IE icon.
as per the end of this post - http://wmug.co.uk/wmug/b/r0b/archive/2013/10/21/system-center-2012-configuration-manager-r2-web-applications
This makes sense to me. Surprised no more support than this..
I think that this topic should be revisited.
I am running into the same thing but with msEdge.
I was all happy until I saw that the Software Center icon was not present. Then I remembered...
Perhaps this is why people do not use Web Applications with ConfigMgr?
Please make this work. I want to get rid of the multiple Group Policy preferences per icon that are needed to achieve this.
It would be such a simple solution.
Any plans on implementing this soon? Any update would be appreciated.

Really should have the ability for a custom icon. In SCCM CB, Software Center displays tiles which can be bigger than normal application icons. So really need the ability to specify two icons. One for Software Center, and one for the shortcut that gets installed.
Any update on this idea please?
Would also be nice to have the ability to add the shortcut to a folder. As this would save work for a team I know who create MSI packages to manage the shortcut delivery, which means they are managing up to 100 additional MSIs just for web based applications.
