  1. 3rd Party Patching

Integration for SCUP 2011 is there but this hasn't been updated for some time. Without the use of additional licensed software its basically impossible to patch 3rd Party products such as firefox, chrome, iTunes, Java. New application versions need to be created and distributed each time. An OOB method for 3rd party patching would be a godsend

  2. Integrate MDT by default

Instead of having us integrate MDT, why not just include the scripts in a new SCCM install by default?

Declining because we have already added a number of native steps to mirror commonly used steps from MDT in SCCM Task Sequences and we have an overall work item for completing integration of more all our feedback is captured for this work too so comments below are appreciated and not lost. We’d rather return your votes and let you know we have this as an open item.

If there are specific features of MDT you would like to see natively in SCCM then please re-purpose your now returned votes to make specific suggestions”

  8. Improve Android Hardware Inventory to include "Android Security Patch Level" in SCCM / Intune Hybrid

Current "Intune Company Portal" do not report "Android Security Patch Level" as part of the Android Hardware Inventory to SCCM in a Hybrid environment.

This is important as our security policy requires that the device must be up-to-date on Android Security Patch inorder to be "In Compliance"

From an administrative point of view it should be possible to have an overview of your Android devices to verify whom devices that has been upgraded with the latest security updates from Android.

Security Vulnerabilities are rapidly increasing for mobile devices, e.g. the previous KRACK Vulnerability. Hence it would great to see that…

  9. Remote Control of Mobile devices using SCCM/Intune

SCCM/Intune is lacking one very important feature for MDM - Remote Control of Mobile devices(Windows Phone, IOS, Android platform) which is crucial for enterprises which have big departments whose employees are remote workers and uses tablets or/and phones as primary business tool and often require remote support on this devices. This feature is already implemented in almost any serious MDM solution on market for a while.

  10. Continue and enhance Linux support

I'd like to see the Linux client have more functionality as the Windows client.
    o Automatic deployment
    o ability to reinstall
    o more detailed status returned
o ability to query existance of certain files on a linux system

  11. Support to image mounted vhd drives

With this ability you can expand the capabilities of your task sequence in so many ways, ie using VHD's to create a Kiosk/steady state solution.

Please add support to be able to apply operating system images to mounted VHD drives.

Currently a permission issue prevents this.

  12. Azure remote app integration with ConfigMgr

Love to see integration for RDS and Azure Remote App in Configuration Manager. Create your remote apps in the Configuration Manager console and publish them to Azure without needing to touch the Azure Console.

Also a "Azure remote app" deployment type would be nice so that based on Requirement Rules not the MSI will be installed, not an App-v version will be installed but a configured link to the Azure Remote App will be deployed.

  13. Allow MDT Task Sequence Editor to be resized

With OSD, you can do this, but with standalone MDT, you cannot resize the window when editing the Task Sequences. This make for a lot of scrolling, even though you can collapse the groups.

  14. Ability to rename Mobile Devices (Intune Hybrid)

Ability to rename a mobile device is desperately needed or a field for "Administrators Name" something that differentiates the device. I have 3000 "iPhones" in my database, not very easy to find users devices via collections. Primary User is not a selectable column filter at the moment, this would be another alternative solution

  15. Ability to skip Press Enter for UEFI WDS PXE deployments

Currently when using UEFI and PXE, a WDS prompt comes up, an example screenshot is attached, asking to Press Enter. This requires the technician to press Enter within a handful of seconds, or the loading of the boot WIM fails. Currently, there appears to be no way to skip this portion and proceed directly with downloading the boot WIM, similar to how you can skip F12 when using legacy BIOS mode.

  16. Possibility to deploy a .vhdx instead of just a .vhd into the VMM library.

Possibility to deploy a .vhdx instead of just a .vhd into the VMM library.
Also the following features should be optional when the vhd/vhdx is created and is being copied into the library:

    1) Insert an auto-updated incrementing version number (x.x.x.x).
    2) Add a disk tag.
    3) Add family name

Updating status of this item to Declined.

Support for VHD was deprecated, this was announced in January 2017 – see docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sccm/core/plan-des..

In 1802 we have removed the VHD node. Actions on existing VHDs e.g. Removal can still be completed using our PowerShell CmdLets as we haven’t removed the SDK

  17. Sharepoint

Please, do you have an answer for the below questions? Or, can you point me to the Group that could answer these?

Customer wants to patch the Sharepoint farm through SCCM without manually intervening on the servers for this. I told him this is by design and that the Updates tagged with “farm deployment” are not listed in SCCM, because they specifically require User Intervention. The reason for not showing SharePoint Farm Updates in SCCM is due to the update behavior of Sharepoint. a farm update is installed on 1 of the servers and manually distributed over all other servers…

This suggestion was flagged for moderation which brought it to my attention. I’ve cleared the moderation flag, but I am also going to close this out and return votes back to supporters.

It reads to me like you need some collaborative assistance with other members of the Configuration Manager community, and this is really not what UserVoice is designed for. UserVoice is meant to be a platform for providing suggestions and feedback to the Configuration Manager product group.

A good starting point for these questions would be the TechNet forums at: https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/home?category=ConfigMgrCB

  18. Implement the ability to disable the writing of the PXE-Flag

If the local hard disk is the first in the client boot order, there is no need to write the PXEFlag. In fact it is a problem: If the boot image download fails because of a TFTP error, the client can not boot from network again. An administrator must be called to "Clear the required PXE flag".
Just implement a switch to allow or disallow the writing of the PXE-Flag to the database.

  19. Deploy SCEP profile to mobile decives without User Affinity

Deploying SCEP-profiles to mobile devices without user affinity is not possible. And here is why that feature is needed. My customer has a conference room solution that involves an iPad to display booking details and schema outside of every conference room.

This tablet needs access to the internal 802.1x protected Wifi as well as an VPP-app to display the booking details and so on.

The idea here is to enrol the devices in Apple DEP and assign a DEP profile that does not involve User Affinity. Then some sort of mechanism is setup that add enrolled devices based on pre-registered…
