  1. Integrate LEDBAT into ConfigMgr

LEDBAT is a Congestion Control Mechanism that's coming to Windows Server 2016/Windows 10. Successfully used by BitTorrent/Apple Software Update to reduce Bandwidth Saturation during content downloads. This would make WAN transfers of content by BITS (or any other mechanism) 'give way' to other business traffic. Would also improve Software Update scans and HW/Inv Uploads to the MP. LEDBAT makes sure that only unused bandwidth is used for the transfer.

  2. Please improve accessibility of SCCM for blind system administrators.

SCCM 2005 was very accessible to system administrators who are blind. However, Versions after this from 2008 on are not usable. This has resulted in any system administrator who is blind who requires access to SCCM to perform his or her duties to find alternative responsibilities. Up to 2013 I happily worked as a system administrator. I loved this part of the IT industry. However, because so much of my job revolved around using SCCM I had no choice but to leave and refocus my efferts somewhere else. I ask Microsoft to redouble your committment to accessibility to include improvingā€¦

  3. Add OSD Variable to not send Status Messages

Now that TS support installing applications list, it would be good to have a TS Variable such as SMSTSSendStatusMessage that would allow us to not send status messages like offline media. Or in some cases to send status messages when using Offline media.

When installing a TS that has all content cached and the machine is offline the TS tries to send status messages and when it fails it retries a number of times increasing the overall time of the TS deployment, however it will complete successfully.

  5. Add a button in Software Center to allow the users to refresh the Machine/User Policy

Add a button in Software Center so the user can update the MAchine and User Policy. Would be a great feature for the end-user when waiting for an application to be available!

  6. Content Library Cleanup Tool

At the moment the Content Library Cleanup Tool shipped in SCCM 1610 TP, when it find some errors or is not able to cleanup some of the orphaned files/information in Content Lib crashes or stop the process.
In big environments with a large number of PullDP's it's important that we can automate the tool to perform an automated clenaup of the distribution Points and Pull Distrbution Points.
We are working with a customer that as a large number of PullDP's so we would like to suggest for future versions of the tool the following changes:

  7. Remote tools - client setting to change client service to Automatic startup

One of the biggest issues I hear with the Remote Tools is that when you restart a machine it takes a couple of minutes before you can remote control it again. This is due to the delayed start of the service. I assume that this cannot be changed per default but give us the option using a client setting to change it to Automatic instead of using a GPO would be really sweet!
This is very similar to the following feedback item. https://configurationmanager.uservoice.com/forums/300492-ideas/suggestions/8471107-fix-remote-control-bug-after-client-reboot#comments

  9. When Expiring Updates based on Supersedence Rules also Decline them in WSUS

When SCCM expires updates based on the configured Supersedence Rules it only does so in SCCM, not WSUS. Additionally, SCCM does not approve updates in WSUS.
Because of these two facts the WSUS Cleanup Wizard will never decline superseded updates. They are neither expired (as they are in SCCM) nor are their superseding updates approved (a requirement for the WSUS Cleanup Wizard). This causes a bloated Update Catalog that can cause very real client issues. There are scripts available to handle this situation but this is the last mile issue in regards to WSUS maintenance. If the product declined theā€¦

  10. New builtin reports about Windows 10 versions and builds

ConfigMgr has a few reports about operating systems, but they are not suitable with the new Windows 10 world. Please create new Windows 10 related reports. E.g.
    - chart with Windows 10 versions (Ent/Edu/Pro) and build (including click-through to see the actual devices)
    - report that lists devices with a specific Win10 version/build in a collection
    - report with Windows 10 versions/builds in a specific collection

These are not very difficult to create, but because every Win10 customer needs them, they should be included in the product.

    These are also needed, because:
    - Windows 10 Dashboard doesn't provide drill through ā€¦

  11. Allow software update installation at shutdown

Everyone who knows WSUS misses the feature in ConfigMgr to allow the installation of software updates when the machine is shut down. This is being requested for a very long time now. For most businesses it's not the best approach to install updates only when a user is logged on. Of course the scenario changes with Windows 8 and 10, but it's still a valuable addition to the option a ConfigMgr admin should have.

  14. Software Center: Add support for direct link to application and direct link to installation via protocol handler.

The new Software Center supports the "Page" command line option, but I could not find a way to jump directly to an app details page (the one that shows the Install button).

(I'd like to change my application catalog notification tool to open softwarecenter instead of iexplore with the app details page.)

Additionally it would be nice if the tab/page changes respecting the new command line given when software center is already open.

  15. Set a default or preferred boot image for PXE

Have an option to set a specific boot image for PXE. In an environment where there are multiple boot images, when a device PXE boots it will first download whichever boot image (that is PXE capable) associated with the most recently deployed task sequence. It would be nice to have an easier way to just set a default or preferred boot image for PXE instead.

  16. Icons and cosmetics for applications

During the Create Application Wizard on Application Catalog step there is possibility to add some beautiful icon. BUT! The icon (*.ico) size is limited to 250x250. Could you make it possible to add an icon file with picture size at least 256x256 (which is quite common size for pictures in *.ico files)? Another thing as well, the icons in SCCM Applications/Packages list (Software Library-Overview-Application Management-Applications). They look all the same! Could you make them more attractive, say, the way they look in Application Catalog? Otherwise, whats the point in Icon column (which appears, by the way, as a default columnsā€¦

  17. Access log files from Console

Make the log files directly accessible via the console rather than digging around in the file system trying to remember which file holds which logs and ideally make them accessible from a context menu in the relevant areas.

  18. Distribution Points are by default NOT assigned the same priority

    CURRENT FUNCTIONALITY

When a new Distribution Point (DP) whether it is a normal DP or a Pull DP is installed to a ConfigMgr 2012 R2 site, the priority assigned to this new DP is always the same by default.

    REQUEST FOR CHANGE

It is often desired that Pull DPs are by default assigned lower priority than the normal DPs.

    MORE INFORMATION

When operating a site with many (hundreds of) DPs installed, the normal DPs serve as source distribution points for the Pull DPs. It is therefore desired, that those normal DPs will have the new package files copied over beforeā€¦

  19. Add support for using one USB Ethernet adapter with multiple computers

With many laptops and tablet devices not having wired Ethernet adapters built in, it is necessary to use USB Ethernet adapters to use OSD with these systems. However, Configuration Manager currently associates the MAC address of the adapter with the first computer it was used on, which causes issues re-using the adapter. Please add an option for the MAC of the USB Ethernet adapter to be automatically removed from Configuration Manager at the end of the OSD sequence. Only the built in wireless adapter should be associate with the device after OSD.

  20. Correct the "Add Selected Items" ribbon button functionality

Currently when you select a collection(s) in the console, then utilize the "Add Selected Item" button you are able to functionally add the collection(s) selected to another collection as a member, however it does not actually add the member of the selected collection(s) to the target collection just the root collection itself.

    Example A:
    1. Open Console and navigate to Administration \ Assets and Compliance \ Device Collections \ Select a collection.
    2. Click the "Add Selected Items" button and then "Add selected items to existing device collection"
    3. Select the existing collection that is to be the target
