  1. Interactive logon Acceptence Agreement

I would like to have a user acceptance with custom text every time an admin opens up the SCCM Admin Console.

  2. Switch to let SCCM install applications in OSD via admin account instead of trusted user

SCCM is great for deploying OS's, and MDT is great for customizing those images. I'm asking for a switch that allows SCCM to act like MDT when it comes to installing and customizing a reference image.

  3. Import/Export Cmdlet Parameter aliases

Could we please have a common alias for the file path parameters in the various import/export cmdlets?

    For example, currently we have:
    1. Export-CMBaseline uses -Path to set output path, and
    2. Export-CMTaskSequence uses -ExportFilePath.

    Then we have:
    1. Import-CMBaseline using -FileName to determine location of exported files
    2. Import-CMApplication using -FilePath,
    3. Import-CMTasksequence using -Path.

A common alias like "Path" or "FilePath" for all these parameters will be very handy in reducing complexity of scripts calling your Cmdlets.

  6. Offer a unlock button to unlock editing an app after the console crash

When the console crash while editing an app, the edited app is locked during 30 min before a user can edit it again. Only ReadOnly is possible.
I can't unlock the app by the interface.

  7. Console hangs when switchting from TS to Monitoring - Deployments

When we navigate to Software Library => Operating System => Task Sequences => select some TS.
Click on a TS and under 'related objects' click on 'deployments'
You are switched to monitoring - deployments but the console hangs (no reponse on any action). TS is deployed to some collection. In scenario when TS is not deployed to any collection it is ok. We tested it on CM 1602, 1606 and 1610 and it is same everywhere. According MS Escalation Support the query is extremely slow and should be redesing. From Escalation enginner: Iā€™ve been able to pinpoint the issue andā€¦

  9. In-Depth Information needed on Changes witin Reporting done by any CU

No information is provided whether and what has changed within the reporting. I am particularly interested in very technical information, like stored procedures or changes that include the RBA model. Some of the changes might affect individually created reports, if they use the same methodology like the MS reports. Proactively apply those changes would suit me much better than waiting for an incident to be reported on a specific report -> detailed technical information on changes should be provided with each update (sp, used fn, ...)

  10. Integrate the Desktop Analytics Logs Collector

When you need to troubleshoot desktop analytics you can use DesktopAnalyticsLogsCollector.ps1 but then you have collect the log files or have remote access to the clients.

Can you integrate the Desktop Analytics Logs Collector into the Client Diagnostics work being taken as part of TP 1912).

  11. DCM to check for audit settings

Configuration Management needs the ability to check for Audit settings on a folder, much like it checks security settings.

I know it can be done in powershell, but thats a very long and nasty road.

    Thanks for the feedback

What’s happening here is the policies are not visible across different sites. So, if a client is already assigned to site A, the Management Point/Distribution Point on site B wonā€™t be able to access those policies and boot the client.

The guidance is to delete the record – same as what you’ve been using

We filed a documentation update to add the same information to https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/mt627940.aspx

  13. Reporting

  14. Handling of signed powershell scripts in OSD via Group Policy

Applications that utilize powershell as a detection method require that script to be signed with a code signing certificate. Code signing certificates are often managed through Active Directory Group Policy.

See: Appendix 3 in the Code-Signing Best Practices guide
    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/dn653556%28v=vs.85%29.aspx

The challenge is how to you implement a system during OSD where certificates are managed through GPO.

One could create a package that has certmgr and import the certificates; however, if there are any changes in the certs (revoked, expired, etc.) then there are multiple places to make that change.

In some environments the application developement group has no controlā€¦

  15. Add /ResetBase to New-CMOperatingSystemImageUpdateSchedule

Now that optimization of the WIM and removal of superseded updates is available as an option for offline servicing in the console, it would be great if this option could be added as a switch to the New-CMOperatingSystemImageUpdateSchedule cmdlet. I use this cmdlet to automate scheduling of updates in an ADG against all my WIMs so it would be great if I could shrink them down at the same time without needing to do this in the console.

    Thanks for your feedback.

Updating status to noted, see https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sccm/core/understand/find-help#send-a-suggestion for an explanation of each value.

We’ve addressed this in our 1902 release as well as the ability to import a single .wim from the multi-index .wim.
    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sccm/osd/get-started/manage-operating-system-images#BKMK_AddOSImages

As Vlad mentioned, the New-CMOperatingSystemImageUpdateSchedule CmdLet has -RemoveSupersededUpdates

I’ll update the status to completed if this addressed your ask. If not, then let us know any gaps.

  16. Deployments should default to the safer option of "Available" instead of "Required"

Where available (Package, Application, Updates, or Task Sequence), deployment should default to the safer option of "Available" vs. "Required."

  17. Add predefined action (to task sequence or application/package) to copy files/folders to user workstation (as user OR as system)

Often whole software config is a single file. It is a pain to keep creating batch files for a simple copy action

  18. Alternative way to install ConfigMgr Admin Console

    Hello Team,

I got an issue when i have done the upgrade to 1602 version of SCCM vnext.

That brings me this idea : How to get the Admin Console from an alternative way than via the SCCM Servicing and Upgrade section ?

    Thank you for your help
    Henri

  19. Add 2 new options for MDT, define and use Deployment toolkit

    Add
MDT Define Microsoft Deployment Toolkit Package
    Use Defined Microsoft Deployment Toolkit

So you can define then just use the defined MDT Toolkit. This would make it easier when you have multiple Use Microsoft Deployment Toolkit Package, in the TS. This way they wouldn't all have to be edited. So after you make a change/update your UDI for whatever reason usually applications upgrades.

This would same a major amount of time also ensure you don't miss one, and less time editing and testing.

Hi. This reads like something that would be addressed with the ‘Daisy chain task sequences’ https://configurationmanager.uservoice.com/forums/300492-ideas/suggestions/8339997-daisy-chain-task-sequences-osd-and-non-osd

With that you can updating a single referenced/child task sequence containing the MDT Package and any ‘parent’ task sequence will get that update too.

Let me know if that matches your ask and I’ll merge your votes with that item.

  20. Enable option to run a Program as 64-bit process

Currently programs can only run as 32-bit process, so you need to use workarounds (such as sysnative) to run as 64-bit. I would like the ability to run a program as 64-bit, just like you can do with a task sequence 'run command' and application.
