Run PowerShell Command in Task Sequence
In the a Task Sequence you have the option to 'Run PowerShell Script' where you have to specify a package \ script name etc. Could we have 'Run PowerShell Command' this saves having to download the script and run it. For example at the moment I 'Run Command Line' and use 'powershell -command start-sleep 300'. It would be great if we could just run native powershell commands.

Allow Retry After Early Failures in OSD Instead of Angry Reboot
There are a lot of common failures right at the beginning of the task sequence that cause a lot of anger. Can we please allow a retry for these three common scenarios that happen right at the start?
No Network Connection
- If you hit “Next” before the network has started… or before your network cable was plugged in, it should give you an error that you can retry after the network situation is fixed. No Task Sequence Found
- This often comes up because there really is no task sequence targeting the device, even though you thought it should…34 votescompleted ·AdminBob Mac Neill (Software Engineer, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager) responded

configuration manager returned a large number of results - UI request
This is really a pet peeve but bear with me. When I want to search Devices within Assets and Compliance section of the Admin console, a message appears that says "Configuration manager returned a large number of results. You can narrow your results by using search. Or, click here to view a maximum of 100000 results." The functionality of this is great, however the placement of it is EXACTLY where the search box was right before it appeared. More times than not, I'll try to click in the search box and end up clicking on this message instead and the…

Integrate Android for Work in SCCM/Intune Hybrid
Android for Work has been actively integrated in to the web Intune Portal, I have not heard when this would make its way to the Hybrid SCCM instance so wanted to push this to uservoice since this will be very helpful in all with hybrid deployments. We are primarily iOS but having this functionality could allow companies to standardize on iOS or android devices with OS 6.0 or higher to support the work profile. Utilizing Intune with SCCM allows infinite customizability and the use of dynamically changing queries, along with multiple domains in my environment is critical in order for…

New Software Center for 1706 - Options Tab -> Power Management settings do not stay ticked
In several 1706 environments, when users are given the option to override their power management plans, the New Software Center does not reflect them "ticking" that box once the software center is closed and re-opened. All the other settings seem to "stick". My guess is that the "Apply" button was taken away on purpose (was there in 1702) and this may have been overlooked. Please take a look and provide any information on a fix for this functionality.

Offline Servicing - Select Indexes to Update
At the moment, when you do Offline Image Servicing on a Server WIM - it applies it to all image indexes (Standard, Standard Core, Datacenter, Datacenter Core, etc...)
Can we have an option to select which index (or indexes) we would like to service?
If someone only deploys Standard (gui) and never Datancentre, they don't really need to patch it..
It would also save some time

Windows 10 Rollback via SCCM
The 30 Day Rollback option is available for all windows 10 users, but currently can not be automated using SCCM.
This should change, as this feature closely integrates with Microsofts testing strategy of using different branches which grow bigger in size as the rollout of a new build progresses.
When planing to integrate a similar scenario, in our case, we anticipate errors which have not been cought in testing of the previous branch and need to be able to quickly restore operations.
I am well aware that if all our applications were packaged this would not pose much of a…

RBA Viewer that works with CM CB
The RBA Viewer that is released in 2015 constantly crashes in my production system. I was able to get it to work in a lab running an older verison of SCCM.
So far it crashes with CM1606 and 1702Can RBA Viewer be updated to support the new permissions that have been introduced over the past 2 years and updated it with every release of CM CB?
If there are no plans to update rbaviewer can a statement be released that the current version is not supported with CM1606 and beyond?
Or whatever version you feel is appropriate?

Task Sequences should be supported outside of operating system deployment scenarios
Task sequences are only officially supported in operating system deployment scenarios. Task sequences are incredibly useful with their explicit logic and tight control. There's many cases where it can be useful to deploy task sequences outside of operating system deployment scenarios for complex software deployment scenarios.
Task sequences should be made a first class citizen outside of operating system deployment scenarios.

Enable co-management using multiple ConfigMgr hierarchies to one Intune tenant
Some customers has multiple SCCM environments (Test and Production), and want to enable co-management from multiple (two) ConfigMgr hierarchies.

Control cache size using client settings
It would be nice to be able to control the client cache size settings using the client settings policies. This way you have a simple way to increase it if you have a package which is larger than the initial deployed size.

Provide a version of cmtrace that is compatible with AppLocker / Device Guard
At the moment when cmtrace is opened, it extracts the appropriate architecture version to AppData\Local\Temp<temporary file name>.tmp and executes it. Customers often put cmtrace in the system32 directory of computers to aid with troubleshooting.
With recent randsomware attacks, companies are starting to look at blocking programs from executing from AppData with AppLocker and Device Guard.
A workaround so far has been to copy the tmp file and rename it to cmtrace.exe and placing it in approved directory for executing applications, but this sort of extra effort could easily be solved by providing an update to the tool that simply includes…

Download only the latest Branch \ upgrade of ConfigMgr
both in online and offline modes of the Service Connection Point, when installing 1511 and then get the updates, ConfigMgr downloads 1602, 1602 hotfixes and 1606 EasySetups (and all of their prerequisites) when in 99% of the cases - we only need the latest release.
this causes a lot of time waiting and bandwidth usage for nothing and it will probably get worse as there will be more future release.
we want an option to choose what release to download instead of download them all28 votescompleted ·Admindjam (Product Director, or Executive, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager) responded
This is fixed in ConfigMgr 1702. Beginning with that build, it will more intelligently only download newest updates. It will also do a better job of cleaning up old updates.

Software Center - Highlight relevant item after user clicks "new software is available" notification
Scenario:
- End user receives a "new software is available notification' (balloon/toast)
- End user clicks the notification
- Software Center opens and shows the "Applications" tabThere is no indication which is the new item where the notification refers too. The user needs to look for any new items in a potentially large list.
It would be nice if the relevant item would be highlighted and/or (temporarily) be listed somewhere on top of the list.

In 1610 production, new software is tagged/highlighted in software center.

Add missing InstallationBehaviourType parameter to new DeploymentType cmdlets in SCCM Powershell Cmdlets.
This goes for all new Add/Set-CM*DeploymentType but for my example, I'll refer to Add-CMScriptDeployment.
An example below is my generic Script Deployment Type.
Add-CMScriptDeploymentType `
-ApplicationName "$PublicName" `
-DeploymentTypeName "$AppName Client" `
-ContentLocation "$AppLocation" `
-InstallCommand "$InstallStr" `
-UninstallCommand "msiexec /x $MSICode /qn" `
-MaximumRuntimeMins 720 `
-LogonRequirementType WhereOrNotUserLoggedOn `
-UserInteractionMode Hidden `
-ProductCode
-ScriptLanguage PowerShell `
-ScriptText $scriptDetectWhen this is run, the DT is created with the Installation Behaviour set to the default value of "Install for system if resource is device; otherwise install for user"
The previous version of this cmdlet - Add-CMDeploymentType had the parameter available…

Introduce the Ability to patch Click to Run Applications like Office 365
Currently Office 365 can't be patched with WSUS, instead you have to have your clients either contacting the Internet (not very good option for large enterprise), or you will have to distribute the new updated version on shared folders and define the new update source. it would be interesting to be able to use WSUS also for C2R apps.

Enable/Disable verbose or debug logging from built-in powershell cmdlet

In 1910 CB and TP we have added the ability to enable/disable verbose+debug logging through the console as a client action. Please try it out and let us know what you think. We have further improvements on the way for this planned in future releases.
